Here? I post stuff on Twitter once in a while, but I don’t think it generates any response whatsoever. I am happy that this site has Fresh section, so social media involve the is not really necessary to get some views

I promote on Twitter and Reddit, but it's not helping that much. I got almost 100 upvotes on Reddit (which I'm proud of) so Reddit is something I would recommend. I regularly get about 10 upvotes, which means about 10 people enjoyed my work there. And I have one follower. But on Twitter, I don't see much traction besides accounts made for retweeting comics.

I got almost all my subscribers from this forum. I might ask for a review, use my comic as an example, or make a thread and link my comic in it.

I'd also recommend (if you are trying to advertise a comic) registering your comic on http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/ and http://topwebcomics.com/. The advertising on the webcomic list isn't too expensive, but even without paying for advertisement I've gotten a few extra views from having my comic on these sites.

twitter and reddit, mostly. I tried a few times on tumblr too because my fanart does pretty decently there but with no luck.

even if you don't get a lot of upvotes on reddit you can get people actively telling you they enjoy your comic- one person recognized my comic and a couple of others told me they made a webtoon account for it. It's really nice

Tapas forums, Twitter, deviantArt, Ao3, Shanniwrites forum, and irl.

So far, Tapas forums has the been the most successful for me. It's hard to convince people on other sites to not only read, but create an account to follow your works (especially for novels).

I don't really have much of a following on social media so I don't know how effective that is. I know I need to expand more but I am not good with navigating social media in order to make that effective.

I was thinking that if I created a series that was more appropriate for a general audience, I might try my hand at pinning comic info on business cards to community boards (like IRL). I don't know if anyone has every tried this. I know a girl in college who had cards she gave people about her comic, so that is where I got the idea.

Twitter, Instagram, and as of recently, TikTok. A couple times here, but I don't know if it really worked out.

People like bonus art! Stuff that makes your comic feel relatable. Memes and stuff! If you have those post them between updates. Also interacting with other comic creators, esp on twitter, participating in art hashtags that apply to you (drawingwhileblack, visiblewomen, etc) get new eyes to your work!
