In the zombie-infested world my characters live in, they're not picky. Anything that's sort of edible would work for them.
If we're talking about before the virus spread, then Lou would secretly love her brothers' cooking but still choose to eat Burger King. Matt would be a sucker for his wife's homecooked food.

My Seven Sins are a mafia and Ira/Wrath is particular is a 'Rich Bitch'. She'd probably eat at expensive steak restaurants. However, she has a fondness for coffee and chocolate, so a cafe with chocolate croissants would be on the list.

Edward/Greed would be similar to Ira; eating in expensive restaurants but less on the steak and more on soups and salads.

Tristan/Lust and Darrion/Pride would probably eat at cheaper fast food places, Tristan because he was poor for a long time and Darrion cause he's a corrupt cop and needs food fast usually. Tristan would go to bakeries not just for treats but also to get baking inspiration. Darrion will occasionally treat himself and his little sister, Cana, to italian.

Orsin/Gluttony would eat anywhere without any fuss. However, he prefers homecooked meals and comfort foods. African comfort foods like Ethiopian and Northern African foods would make him very happy and he has a deep love of Soul Food too.

Sybil/Sloth can't eat a lot of food due to her very weak body, thus she get's nutrients mostly intravenously. However, she does like sweets (cake), hot tea lattes, and milkshakes on occasions.

Cana/Envy REALLY wants to be like Edward and Ira and eat super expensive foods. The problem is, she can't STAND most expensive places and finds their food super pretentious. Thus she prefers Fast-Casual places (not grimy gross Mcdonalds or Burger King, but 'upscale' Chipotle and Garbanzos Mediterranean).

Stardust doesn't eat. In fact, he thinks the need to eat is a sign of how pointless and pathetic the human experience is.

Roger the Ray can't eat, but he likes hanging out with people was they eat and deeply appreciates the social aspect of eating.

Spectro spends all his time doing magic stuff and just uses spells to keep himself full and healthy. He hasn't had a real meal in years.

Fishergirl is a frequent patron of a burger and coffee diner called Johnny Winters.

Dimitri: knowing him he’d mostly eat fast food cause he always busies himself, but being the kind of person he is he’d try to avoid places with shady business ideas like chick-Fil-a but if he digs deep enough he’d have to realize that every food chain is it’s own kind of shady so he’d prob just have to accept it and enjoy his McDonalds French fries and not think about what the meat is made out of.

Ralh: he’s pretty easy since his kind Should only eat meat and only really has to eat once a month (twice to four times) if they’re feeling peckish or high energy- so he’d prob dine at a relatively nice place like Crackle Barrel and get some country breakfasts.

Thea: she is an incredibly picky eater which is why she’d rather cook, instead of going to a place to eat. she’d much rather go to farmers markets to buy ingredients and just make her meals herself

Still yet to release the novel, but I guess the main character would probably go to In-N-Out (if she were in the modern day that is, it's set more back around the World War II era so). She did order a steak after all at one point (spoilers) and is generally not a believer in money being a factor in how something tastes. Yet, considering her background, I couldn't really see her going to McDonald's or Burger King. Thus, In-N-Out makes for a good middle ground.

I have fictional restaurants in my comics based on real ones. Inspired by two places I went to regularly.

In Undefeatable J-Man there's a pizza shop nearly all of Jon and his friends go to called "Many Sons". It's based on Three Sons, my childhood pizza shop that, sadly, seems to have closed down recently. No pizza will ever taste better in my opinion. I even modeled the owner after Three Son's owner, who knew me since I was a kid. I guess in real life, any Manhattan pizza shop will do for J-Man.

In Mystical Valve, there's a donut/coffee shop inspired by Dunkin' Donuts since there's one right next to my house. Go there very often for late night coffee. The one in this comic isn't as flattering a depiction as the pizza in J-Man. It's a parody called "Classy 'Nuts" run by a slightly unhinged goober with terribly named promotional donuts. But the coffee is good.

Jaime is definitely the type who'd go to a Sonic or Dog n' Suds and just order and sit in the car. He'd get really nervous about whether or not it'd be kosher to keep his radio on, what with the people being nearby and it a close distance. Would roll up windows and keep it off to be safe. Would accidentally thank the automated ordering machine.

Jade would eat physically anywhere. McDonalds, DQ, anywhere that is open. Orders things in the number options but proceeds to change them to add more stupid condiments and stuff to the point where it's unrecognizable. Somewhat liable to dine n dash if she realizes she doesn't have enough money. Will almost assuredly be caught. Prefers A&W.

Felicity feels bad eating meat, so she would probably look for vegetarian options wherever she can.
Matthias would probably eat a lot of Korean BBQ; the boy complains that he needs to eat a lot of meat to grow big and strong.
I think Ragnar wouldn't care nearly as much as the other two and eat more fast food--just eat whatever he can get his hands on.

I'm not gonna mention any specific restaurants since I'm not from the US and I'm not familiar with most of the famous restaurants there lmao.

Arckan: He'd go pretty much anywhere, but he dislikes fast food and unhealthy food in general. A cute, small restaurant whith traditional food would be the perfect place for him.
A: Looooves japanese restaurants and goes to one whenever he gets the chance.
B: Haaaaates japanese restaurants hahahaha (for more reasons than just the taste of the food, he's a salty man). He loves meat-focused restaurants tho. Give him a big, juicy stick and he'll be a happy man.
Deal: don't leave her alone or she'll live just eating microwave food and mcdonals

Those 4 are the ones I have the clearest idea for. The bad guys TM's boss would love japanese food as well, but he's in for anything fancy tbh hahaha. Give him some quality food and a good wine and he's served.
