I feel like a lot of people in the US are unfamiliar when I mention it. Probably because the English dub and broadcast on Fox Kids was the biggest travesty in dubbing history. It ran on TV for three weeks until they realized it had content that was seriously unsuitable for the 6-10 age range they were marketing it for.

Also, they did this to the opening: https://youtu.be/d5ZXbrqPjKM1

@starsyscomics What is it with English dubs and wrecking the openings? It happened to the first dub of One Piece too, IIRC. It was a travesty.

I've never seen Escaflowne, so I can't comment on the quality of the Swedish dub (I believe there was a Swedish dub, and it wasn't the English one) but the Swedish dub of Cyborg 009 is legendary. See, it was all dubbed by one man. One single voice actor for all the parts, including all the women and any children that turn up, for 50 episodes straight. Also, he clearly spoke Swedish with the world's most scrambled grammar. It was like he'd never heard real human beings speak.

It is glorious. Even if you don't speak Swedish, just... watch this, okay?5

If you have time to watch Esca and you enjoy fantasy anime with sky pirates and WW2 allegories, I highly recommend. Fantastic series with gorgeous music and good plot. Just stick with the original Japanese audio!

That clip....is amazing. That man deserves an award.

Every anime deserve a new season just like they are many fandoms wishing for a new season of their favorite anime but profits say otherwise.

I'd really LOVE another season of Natsume Yujincho. Im still following the manga but I really wana see more back story on Madara and Natsume's grandmother.... also the little fox spirit! He's adorable!!!

Of the recent anime: One Punch Man and The Seven Deadly Sins

This question is so hard! Because I love Death Parade but also know it was ended wonderfully. It's hard to say I want another season but also know the risk of my high expectations of it being ruined.

AHHH Also "Desert Punk" simply because it had the WORSE CLIFF HANGER EVER! and the series never finished frowning

I agree with almost all the series mentioned here.

Akatsuki no Yona! 1st season ended just as the things would have gotten even more interesting. There's so much material to cover before catching up with manga. Plus, it's one of the very rare shojo series that I seriously love. Yona's character arc is done so well and everyone else is so great too!

I need a complete reboot anime for this beautiful, glorious (manga)series which I love with all its flaws. With same quality as it has with OVAs. Just, remove the travesty that the original TV series was and give me manga compliant, high quality version I can die happy.

Okay, but as far as CLAMP goes, can we get a real Tokyo Babylon anime (dare I suggest: a live drama!) first? The OVA series and the horrible, horrible live action film did not cut it.

A second season for an anime? let me think...

1- One Punch Man - Our bald friend, Saitama!
2- Nichijou - if it get a new season it will be extremely awesome! OMG!
3- Plastic Memories - (because of Isla ;-;), I want to know what happens.
4- Rokka no Yuusha - I really liked it but... there isn't a clear end >.<
5- Arslan Senki - it's a masterpiece.
6- Log Horizon - again... there isn't a clear end.
7- Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken - where's the baby? hehe

Tokyo Ghoul! Not a 3rd season, but a remake. Seriously, it's such a great manga and the anime doesn't do justice to it at all... frowning

I want to vote for anime that didn't have manga adaptations, because in most cases, you can just go read the manga that has already been released
BUT
seeing as it's any anime,
Yakitate Japan! -as seriously stupid as the show is, i love it
Yowamushi Pedal
Genshiken - one of my all time favourite things ever, i need more adaptations
Anything Black Jack related- because osamu tezuka, god of manga
Rozen Maiden - THAT WAS NOT THE RIGHT SEASON WE WANTED
Cowboy Bebop
A GOOD DORAEMON MOVIE

It's like....come on CLAMP. Just justify my teenage trash relationship obsession. Let me die happily, dammit. (X was so unfulfilling)

They should finish X

CLamp get your game together dammit

when will we ever see a card captor sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth crossover?

Or more likely
A CCS crossover with anything?

As much as I love The Vision of Escaflowne with all my heart and soul, I don't know how that can be interesting while maintaining the spirit of the series. Many things have been wrapped up nicely and Escaflowne is no longer useful unless another major war starts. Adding anything after would risk becoming like fan fiction (Like Fushigi Yuugi. Goddamn, its light novel based sequels are terrible).

Escaflowne is definitely obscure even to young Japanese people in their teens and early twenties (I almost cried when none of my younger (by 1-2 years. I knew Escaflowne from a young age because my big brother introduced it to me) Japanese colleagues knew Yakusoku wa Iranai at a karaoke session lol). But most of the people I know who grew up on 90's anime know it :3

Ah yis! I'd totally flip if this anime will have a season 2.

Hmm... I'm looking forward to season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul.

Also I really do wish Gakuen Alice (I know it's pretty old) have a remake/season two. I've read the manga and it was awesome. It's not exactly child friendly as the anime had put it to be.

And School Rumble! I truly wish that they show the ENTIRE 3rd season and not just the last two episodes of it.

I'd be reaaallly happy if The Legend of Legendary Heroes got picked up again. The anime ended in such a non-ending way. The novels are so good. If you're ready to have your emotions mercilessly trampled upon, that is.

This is true, the FY sequels are cringe worthy and I wouldn't want to see that happen to a gem like Esca. Doesn't mean I won't still daydream about the messed up Schezar family and all the unexplored potential though :3
