I like comments and likes. I like comments more, because I know that I only comment on things that I have actually read. Since I am this way, I believe that some other commenters are too.

Comments all the way. Likes are nice, but there's not much too them. Comments can be anything, but most of the time show how engaged your readers are, and how much they appreciate all the work you're putting into your comic.

If I couldn't have both, comments all the way.

Likes only require the effort of clicking an icon.

Comments however require the effort of the mind.

And when I see people "comment" on my work, I know that they are the ones most invested.

Likes are great because it means I must be doing something right, but comments are extremely motivating cuz it means they care enough to say what's on their mind.

Comments, I'm not too communicative, but it's nice to see them because this encourages me to continue with the things who passionate me C:

I too shall hop aboard the comments train. XD Both are very good but feedback is wonderful to have, whether it's through helping you improve in the future, or otherwise just acting as encouragement after all the work of making pages day after day. Sure, it shouldn't be the sole reason for making a comic... but that said, there's nothing like the feeling of people being engaged enough with your work to say something about it!

At the early stage my comic is in, I have to start off saying I really appreciate both. However, comments are a bit better. This is because with comments I can engage readers and see what their thoughts are.

Comments for me. I like getting 'em and I like giving 'em to comics I read. Heck, i'd take comments over a subscriber any day. XD

Comments, any day. Likes are fine but they don't really give me much, in terms of feedback.

Usually comments... I dunno some comments are needlessly mean and some are completely unrelated (spam/ads)

But a true comment about the comic related and on topic with thoughtful words trumps any like any day for me.

Comments.
Lots of funny stuff happens in the comments and most people upvote the most hilarious ones XD

I'm a fan of both, but if I had to choose one, comments for sure. Getting to see what somewhat thought of an update brightens my day every time. Engaging with my readers is honestly just the best part(save for making the comic period). ^_^

I'd love both. Comments would help me engage with the community more as well as help me improve with creative criticisms and encouragement. Likes are nice too, they make me happy knowing someone liked my comic.

I prefer comments, since they allow me to improve and I always like to interact with my readers.
