Which of these covers catches your eye more?

This cover uses a lot of red, which psychologically tends to catch people's attention. It features the MC in her basic appearance, but the posing is rather basic

however, this cover has more contrast, which is also eye catching. Its also more expressive and has a lot of subtlety to its appearance. However, its features the MC and Deuteragonist in more stylized appearances, which while fun, does feel a little misleading.

So which of these do you think is a better sell at base

I would lean towards the red. Both poses are interesting, but it's harder for me to read the title information on the magenta/pink version.

It's still a bit difficult on the red, especially the bottom "Orsa and the Scarf Squad" since the lines look so thin and light. My eye is more drawn to the title (really like the 'O' in flower) and that I have a bit of trouble reading it than it is to the character art below.

Is this easier to read? I tried improving the size, though I don't know why that's why the "U" looks like that, I don't remember why the U looks so rounded

Also I would recommend making the font more readable.

I think generally you want thicker fonts for titles. The more you shrink your cover the more the title just disappears into the image. The colours are already quite bold with thick black lines, so giving the title a border would help with readability. Borders or drop shadows will only look better if the font is fatter of course.

Definetely the red one. I’d move the text in the left corner to the center, also i think that something like a shadow behind the title would better help to highlight it, thus marking the contrast with the vivid color you used.

There were go, I increased the size of the bottom. Hopefully that's easier to read. Though I was asking whether the red or purple-red one caught your eye more

Dim the background or change its colour. The reds on the character have the same intensity and it makes the character disappear.

Also having the background less intense will make the font pop more.

Hha, that's because a lot of people have already responded about that, but I'm actually going to go against the grain and say the purple one caught my eye more. Maybe coz it's more my colour preference, but there's also more contrast between the bg and the character.

Also, text looks more readable now.

Red one is more eye catching upon first glance.
However the purple one has me more intrigued, i’m curious on what the shadow form is, friend or foe, whats the creature shes hugging, are they friends ext. . .

It’d be interesting to see if you could combine the two.

But as is, red definitely as main cover, and than you can always put the purple one in as a bonus cover on the inside.
