I know that this has probably been answered but I want to know if I should do my comic in BnW.
I won't have a lot of time to work on it but I also know that it will be more attractive.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance Cx

I've stated this before for someone, but it really doesn't matter, just do it well.

However, if you are worried about time, I highly suggest you build yourself a schedule and see if colour is even an option for you. It's important to stick with a schedule when you can, and if you think you won't be able to keep up with whatever timeline you have in mind, then I would probably lean more towards b&w.

But in the end its up to you. Colour or not, a comic can be very successful. Colour isn't what makes a comic attractive necessarily, and it certainly doesn't determine the quality of the story.

Just pick the option that works best for your schedule and feels right for your story.

Best of luck in your decision,

well, how well do you know / can you do colour? if your work looks worse with colour, dont use it. a lot of comics are very attractive with just black and white / greyscale, so long as you get your dark / light contrast right. dont just do your lines and leave it at that, fill things in black and grey for clarity.

If you do not want to lose too much time, and really want to add colors, why not just do some details in solid colors ? like the eyes of the main character, or a scarf, or a red lipstick. It will not add much time, and it can give a whole different atmosphere

You are welcome ! I have just started going full color again and it made me remember why I thought comics were so hard to do. I love the end result though, so for now I think it is worth it.

These are the only colours in my comic so far i believe. The gold is a necklace and the blue is just to add a blue tint to the background cause its raining. the bottom colours are speech bubble colours. not even the people themselves have any colour until they use their power then they have something like maybe coloured eyes or something.

Everything is mostly grey
