Which webcomic genres do you favor the most?

I know for me personally, I tend to be pretty partial to fantasy and sci-fi comics, but I can also get in to pretty much any genre as long as the story is interesting and addicting! So what is/are your favorite webcomic genres?

I'm not picky, practically anything that has an interesting plot and characters, I can read from sci-fi, fantasy, gore, yaoi yuri, anything as long as the story is good and it has good characters.
But if you ask me to choose one in specific, I'd say fantasy mostly

Horror and Sci-Fi for me. I feel like I even have trouble deciding between the two even when trying to categorize my own comic.

HORROR! omg I love horror! I find myself subbing more to it. i can't make a horror comics they just end up ironically funny. you said you like Sci-fi? my comic i Sci-Fi check it out if you want ! Los Emseraldas

I care less about genre, and more about art and story quality. I can say that I tend NOT to like fantasy comics, or soft science fiction (ie. space dramas, space pirates, anything in space with alien races pretty much... ) superhero comics, generic mangas, or daily comedy strips so those genres have to have art that really catches my eye for me to be interested.

I DO like realistic fiction, mysteries, crime, some horror (once again anything 'soft' can't get my attention)... I think my bookmark list on this site is mostly fantasy because there's just a greater percentage of fantasy stories.

hmmm, it's kind of hard to describe the genre... i guess the closest i could get to explaining it would be drama/romance, I like to call it a mixed romance. My preferences are VERY specific though XD I like stories that involve a romance, but don't solely focus on that aspect alone, but mix in another story plot to it (could be a magical girl plot, singing, modeling, etc.) I find that just straight up romances tend to drag for me, and I think ones that have another plot mixed in provide more opportunities to develop characters. it's kind of weird, but I also tend to have a stronger attachment to romantic interest characters that don't appear every chapter, like Ikuto from shugo chara or Sho from Skip Beat.

I honestly have no idea... ^^; I'll read anything if the premise and the storytelling is interesting to me, I don't really have a genre limit.

I don't mind most genres since I generally like something that's more character based and more about relationships between people rather than something story based but the genre I enjoy the most is probably Romance.

Here in tapastic probably still life, action, fantasy and comedy. Actually I don't have an specific genre but I avoid drama or horror.

Sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, and romance.
Especially if they are all combined into one big fun comic.

Number one is fantasy tho. I read alot of tamora pierce books as a kid and now anything similar is instant love

so my thing with comic genre is.. strange:
overall, i would say that anything that has a super "out there" and unique premise is usually what i will gravitate towards, so naturally, most of the comics i sub to aren't that popular, which has its pros and cons
sci fi: i love it, but any generic "spaceship disaster" kind of story, im gone
fantasy: i love the utopian/dystopian fantasy concepts, especially when the comic universe is parallel to ours, so things seem normal, but just slightly off from the real world
slice of life: this one i always go into a little uncertain, because everyone tends to do the same things with this. i really want something unique in this category
drama: this. this one i dont know about too much. i guess make it weird.
comedy: i have a strange sense of humor, dry jokes get me every time though (i.e. the office)
action: for me, any action comic has to also be a thriller. if i dont get hit with hella cliffhangers and suspense, i lose interest. good action comics arent just action scenes
im not into horror, idk why, just never got into it. romance i try to steer clear of, since it tends to be the same story, but with different characters (kind of like disney movies, js). also, gaming comics. what? i dont touch that section of tap. full of uninteresting spinoffs. if you can find a decent one for me, i would love to know

Ooh, this is a tough one. I'm very visual and usually go for a comic that has strong art -- the story doesn't necessarily have to be STAND OUT BRILLIANT if the art's to die-for.

That said, after going years avoiding it like the plague, I'm super partial to romance. Love me some love, haha^^ I'm also pretty big on fantasy, especially if it's set in contemporary times. There's something innately interesting about surreal things happening in a realistic world. It takes a lot to invest in and understand fictional realms, I have NO IDEA how people manage to write those so well!

Speculative fiction in general - fantasy, adventure, scifi, magic realism, whatever - are where I've always made my home, but I read a bunch of slice-of-life and comedy and autobio and just general romance and stuff too when it comes to comics. It all depends heavily on the quality of the art and the writing.

I'm a comics-genre omnivore.
