I completely agree, but I don't want realism as much as I want more variety. Sure gay guys can be soft and unabrasive, and they can be hyper sexual and rough. That's fine, but let's get more of the stuff in between the two extreme ends of the spectrum.

We could yes lol but straight romance has a whole host of tropes and cliches they could let die. Just because we have an issue with some things in this genre doesn't mean we don't think other genres are perfect. I don't. We're just discussing BL genre at the moment.

That's not a bad point, or it would be if I was the only person who wanted more variety. I'll assume maybe the main population of readers is fine with what they currently get, but does that mean those of us who want something different should just be ignored out right.

If a sandwich shop makes all their sandwiches with meat, they don't have to make vegetarian options. But it would be nice if they did.

It would be nice if we got some more variety in BL stories.

I read alot of gay romance by gay dudes and they are honestly just as either funny or cringy.. or disturbing if that your cup of tea.

I did cus the intial question is obvious and no one whose been on tapas long enough would generally ask this. People just want to MM relation ships only and the LGBT tag infers other types or focus on other aspects of being queer that is not romance. Kinda why the gay and lesbian tag on amazon has alot more stuff than the general LGBTQ tag. And the BL tag has been there longer cus people complained about so much gay stuff in the romance genre... yeah
