With the new Tipping event coming up

For those of us who weren't around the first time, has anyone got any "tips" for "tipping" events?!

: )

How should we newbies prep / what should we do?

Save up your coins and watch as many ads as you can prior to the event! I imagine many people will be watching ads while the event is going on, so watching ads in the days leading up to it can ensure you'll have coins in case you can't get any while the event is actually going.

And if you're speaking from the standpoint of getting tips, I'd let your readers know that the event is coming up, and tell them to save their coins until then. That can both help you gets tips during the event, and to just remind your readers to tip you in general!

How do I watch ads without being interrupted by;"Oh you have enough coins - tip them now!" owo' I'm a bit clueless with the app.

I do plan on tipping a lot, so. ^_^'

It sounds like you're getting coins on an individual artist's page; if you go to the coin store, you should be able to watch ads until they run out!

(You can also set the tip amount to something high you'll never reach, and then change it back when you're ready to tip, if that makes sense. I did that for a while when there seemed to be an error with the general ad watching button.)

My idea is; The more populair comic makers could suggest other comics to get tipped instead of their own and ask commenters to link less known comics who deserve tips in the comment section. I did that last time and I'll do it again, I think it worked pretty well last time, a few comics were linked and I myself found new comics to read. win-win ^.^

That's a great idea! If you're collecting links I'd love it if you considered my comic... I have just over 20 subs on it so far, and I'd love to start getting some tips in.

This is a great forum thread. I'm learning so much on how to tip (if I had those devices). Still, I do have a tipping comic with a low subscription number. I'm committed to my story and to me, the characters are engaging. Here!

Something I would personally recommend is making sure you add a little banner or something at the bottom of your update, and making sure it's visual. It's tempting to just post in the notes of the comic, but the amount of people who will see it are lower compared to a visual component! Best of luck during the event!

ah, I try ^^ I hope everyone gets something out of this event, it's good to think about others too. The next episode of my comic will launch in about 15 min when the event starts and I've listed the comics mentioned in this thread <3
