ok i'll give you that lol.
you're honestly right that both jobs are different and each can become just as hard as the other. but i just want others to understand that quality art, WITHIN a comic/manga, isn't easy and isn't developed without the planning and research first behind it.
but the only exception to this is the talent of an artist, the true talent of a skilled artist comes from only enough practice and the daily habit of constantly drawing.
talent just comes with the determination to exceed in art.
but its different when it comes to portraying a story with your talent as an artist.
when it comes to drawing comics, it is different than expressing your art freely on a page, there is more than that to really take into consideration.
for example planning multiple layouts of certain panels and pages to carefully choose which i best to capture the emotion within the scene.( basically, this is where artists will make a decision on how dynamic the scene will or will not be to capture the correct tone of the story)
there are other things as well that is part of a comic artist's job toward making the art for the story written.
it would be easier if we could be careless and draw every scene without detail and within basic (4-koma) panels but our job is to show the reader the best way the story is to be viewed and that job is not easy and shouldn't be taken for granted.
