YES! THE REAL ISSUE IS THIS
The free and open field that is the internet has been a bit of a double-edged sword - on the one hand, people can post their work online for thousands to see without having to sell their finest heifer to the printing press;
on the other hand, creative work has become more devalued than before.
I also think it's sad to see so many creators online consider their work to be 'a failure' or 'worthless' just because it has failed to accrue capital, even with their first attempt at a comic/novel. It is worth something because you considered it worth making, regardless of profit.
