Well, I have sometimes were I am very organized and other times I look like a loon. TBH I probably always look like a loon when writing. When I first get an idea it can come from a dream, be a random bit of dialogue, or just a weird word that gets my brain going. I tend to write down a blurb like "Werewolf prophecy add in a snake somehow" or "Listen to Evanescence to write that teenage fight scene". I then sit on the idea and mull it over in my head for anywhere from a few minuets to a year or two. Once I come back to it I try to write it (can take a few attempts to find the intro I like). If we are talking about my script format I will show you the script for the cover and first page to my series "Full Moon King (FMK)" on tapas and webtoons.
Cover: Silver shackled to a throne looking at the reader. He has a determined look in his eyes. Blood runs down his face in place of tears. His clothes are skater/homeless (more homeless feel?). He wears a lopsided dingy/ dented crown. Dawn is in a white Roman style dress on Silver’s left side. She has her head in his lap, resting face pointed towards the reader, her arms makeshift pillows. One of Silver's shackled/ chained hands rests on her head as if he was petting a cat. Dawn has her cat ears and tail visible (artist picks what type smooth or shaggy fur type of pattern/stripe) Banusi is in his Anubis form holding a scythe? Acting like a guard on Silver's right side. Banusi's head pointed towards Silver with a sideways glance at the reader. Title is in red (jagged? Cursive? Fancy? Artist picks) letters at the top (part on bottom? Ex: Full Moon King top, with #? Or # off to the side or on bottom if all of the titles up top?). Picture has a dark feel to it (dark colors I guess princess resurrection manga has some good examples). Author names on bottom? In gold?
Chapter 1: Memories: See a gun wrapped in the full Moon king charm bracelet with blood dripping off of it.
Page 1
-see snow falling in NYC Central Park
Narrator Silver: Snow, it can bury the world, but not my memories…
-see depressed bundled up homeless Silver sitting on park bench backpack beside him trying to warm hands with breath (Hands have gloves but fingerless and torn)
Narrator Silver: It was snowing that day too…
I then did some edits (can't see here) and after I finished writing the series (with lots of notes in my one note to keep timeline and arcs straight) I looked for an artist and a colorist. Once I settled on who I wanted we had discussions about character looks, background images, reference images, color palate, and more. It eventually became what you see now. (Added links for reference).
