I just started making some merch as my readers are really keen for it so I decided to use Redbubble for it. If you've had experience with this site, please share.

I've been using Redbubble for a while, not for any comic-related merch, just general designs. Overall positive experience, good quality, never had any problems getting paid. Things are a little pricey, and it can be easy for your stuff to get lost amongst all the rest, but those are my only real complaints.
Oh, there's also a lot of art thieves there, but that's not really the site's fault.

Somehow I feel it is very expensive for the fans but it is really worth to merch there~! Got exposed thanks to instagram

I've been happy with the quality of stuff I've checked out from Redbubble!

Here's some attempted photos of a Photographic Print and a Poster15 I ordered to make sure I was comfortable with their quality before switching over to them for my prints,

and here's photos of the Graphic Tee, which I originally ordered for promotional purposes and honestly just wear all the time now because of how soft it is!!

Redbubble is definitely a little pricier than like..... selling these products on my own would be, in terms of how much profit you get. I know I'd get a lil more money if I got prints made myself and stocked them in my home and mailed them out myself. But (a) that would involve worrying about shipping and keeping stocked and all those other things, and (b) I like the complete lack of risk that comes with Redbubble. I can create and offer a print or a shirt or a phone case even if I have no confidence that it will sell at all. I can try things out and see what works!

^ I agree.

As far as a print on demand site goes, Redbubble has been pretty rad for me. I have had my Etsy shop on hiatus for nearly two years now and after someone asked if I sold stickers- this was the easiest solution.
So, for passive income, it's better than having nothing going at all.

I bought a sticker and greeting card. I was happy with what I've got. I have merch for my comic and other things. I've mostly sold Neon Glow related things and a few animal art.

Redbubble has some really quality stuff! They also have great customer service. I tend to do stuff that's really dark and painterly, and a few times people have received prints that were intensely dark, and let me know. I updated the files on Redbubble, contacted staff, and they reprinted and sent the items to the purchasers free of charge. Really cool. Just... If you do really dark artwork, beware and try to lighten the files x_x

I really like Redbubble too! Granted I don't use it for prints or stickers since I like having those things myself to sell at cons and like others have said you make more a profit that way, but I've had a lot of success with selling phone cases there. My mom and I both have Redbubble cases for our phones and we love them! Great quality both in durability and appearance.

So I'd definitely recommend Redbubble for merch like cases and shirts that wouldn't be cost effective to make yourself. If no one ends up buying them, you haven't lost anything except what little time it took to post them on the site. And for smaller, cheaper things like stickers and print that you're not interested in shipping yourself/aren't sure you'll sell enough to make it worth ordering in bulk, redbubble's print on demand is the way to go.

I like 'em. I've ordered a shirt for promo purposes myself and it's still bright and soft and all-around one of my best shirts. I've also ordered a journal and a scarf of my art to gift people and they turned out BEAUTIFUL.

As a seller, I've done all right out of there. It's just a sale here and there mind you in my case, but it's always been very helpful. Passive income is THE BEST. And since they've changed it now to pay you more often it's way better in that respect too. Now I think I actually prefer it over Society6.

On a final note, I had a couple of pieces on there once that they determined were infringing someone's IP (one had a rubik's cube in it for example). I got a polite notice and didn't even have to take it down myself, and heard no more about it since I complied. It was way better than the one time on DA someone erroneously reported a piece of mine and I had to go through a bunch of BS to prove I actually drew it. Thank goodness for progress shots. :stuck_out_tongue:
