I hope you feel better! For me, if it's really bad I just end up staying in bed all day sleeping. but if I have some energy then I try to get some work done (even if I am forced on bedrest I just draw on my bed LOL)
I got an email from them a couple of weeks ago for both of my comics to be on their app. I decided to just do my fantasy one since I didn't see any comics that were pure Slice-of-life (that isn't drama or romance heavy). In terms of communication they have been so nice and patient with me (I want…
I probably won't be. I've been so burned out from comic-making numerous times and I don't think it would be worth the time if no one reads it. I'd rather just make a series of drawings of my characters interacting.
I feel ya on the bonus content bringing down ratings (I posted a lot of extras at the start and I got some complaints about it) so I just put it at the end of the episode update (with a gap to separate frm the actual story of course). Though if the content is too big (like a QnA or a recap), I let…
I originally attended college for nursing, but since I didn't like it I decided to transfer to a university majoring in drawing/painting/printmaking. Even though juggling academics and art classes was stressful (I also minored in psychology but that was my choice cause I found psych interesting),…
Not much rude comments on my stuff aside from this one: "DO NOT TELL ME THIS IS LGBT ? OR BL?" (I did get a lot of constructive criticism on my earlier chapters but they're not rude at all). Though I got a lot of death threats at a certain character in my recent update. I'd personally would feel …
I'm grateful that im still living and breathing to this day. This past couple of months has been really bad for me mentally but yanno what I'm glad that I have close friends that are always by my side when I'm at my worst.
If you have time, I'd like input on my comic @XXIII. Thank you!
I'm fortunate that one of my best friends is an editor so I go to her for proofreading. She knows my characters well so she'll point out any mistakes. I think its ok to show your friends as long as they give you unbiased feedback and will help you out when there's any errors!
Hellper is one of my faves. It's somewhat black/white but the story is just too good also notable mentions (On Line as well) : Wind Breaker Shoot Around Trump Soul Cartel
I got a message as well. I was hesitant on answering cause the site looked so fishy... but anyways, from what I'm reading in regards to "funding" it specifically says: [image] So in a sense its sort of like how premium comics are handled in the tapas app, but there's a quota that needs to be reach…
50s lifestyle/ads take my vote!
I am a sucker for Shibuya-kei music aaaaa
Oh man there's so many comments to pick out but here's some that made me feel satisfied [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] When readers jump into a convo and make it even more amusing also makes my day 10x better [image]
I was in the same position when I attempted to start several comics during high school. With only 20 pages in I ended up scrapping it. Now that I'm more confident with my art/writing and with a little more free time, I ended up revamping that series into what I'm currently working on. But since yo…
Before I got invited to toyhouse by a friend, I would use weebly to store character info, art, etc. You do have to customize/add in info on your own, but the site builder is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) so it's very easy to get used to (and you may get carried away to make it pretty like I…
My main drive for making my comics is to give my characters a sense of backstory and character development as the comic's story progresses. I've had a majority of my characters for years and I believe drawing a comic to show how they behave seems to be the easiest approach for me. In an artist per…
My comic @XXIII is a fantasy/action involving a cambion who pretty much tries to find out her true meaning in life as well as protecting this guy who is in the verge of dying. Some of the fight scenes can get brutal because the main character gives no diddlies when it comes to fighting someone she …
I was swamped with schoolwork so I haven't been on the comp to post my prev inktobers, so here's 3-5! [image] [image] [image]
[image] Day 2! Loving all of the pieces here so far. x)
[image] aaaa I haven't touched my ink pens in forever
[image] Finished mines! Used my babbies from my comic B^) Mainly was looking at art nouveau posters for this one
I'm a leftie! I did use my right hand to draw with a mouse before i got my first tablet pen. Tough times man...
Thank you for the extension! I've been bombarded with schoolwork lately so i'm glad I dont have to rush on my piece And I'd like to put a vote for pixel art for October please!
My twitter is probably the only one that isn't the same name as my other social media I use. I use it casually for conversation aside from posting comic wips, art, life stuff, etc. I do retweet a lot of animals though sweats
I think aside from making a living out of my series or having it made as an animation or video game.... a figurine of my character(s) would be so rad. ❤_______❤ Oh m god i'd stare at it on my spare time aaaAAA!
Inking is the most tedious process for me. It's my least favorite thing to do so I usually end up being a bit slow making sure that everything is correct before I proceed to coloring.
7- Keeping a palette for your characters is a lifesaver! Whether if it's stored in the art program you use or as an image, its handy to have for coloring consistency. (keeping a palette for your shading colors helps too) [image]
I usually sub once I've read a couple of chapters/episodes and they've still kept my interest. I'm very open to art styles so that isn't a factor for me. And once I click that sub button I'll most likely not unsub. There's prolly so many comics that have piqued my interest but I haven't had the chan…
I pretty much draw all day. But when it's night I get very productive (despite wanting to creep up to my bed and sleep)
