I'm currently looking for paid, but also haven't decided rates.

Hey, long time no see. I haven't worked on my comic in a while, but I am currently looking for work. If you make comics with motion, I want to help out. I commonly use UE4 for backgrounds and Clip Studio Paint for animations. If you want to see my work check out my portfolio! https://nivardypl…

I'm a hypocritical piece of poo-poo for not actually executing this in anything, but... Miscommunication is a beautiful thing. You use how character's perceive how something is said/done as motivation behind a action. (I.E A: I love Nyanners! B: (Oh! I know what to get them for their bi…

I was considering live-streaming my comic process in order to encourage myself to work more on my comic, and because there's something liberating about streaming art. I do have a few reservations of my own. Is this "spoiling" the story in my comic? Will this sacrifice an sense of anonymity? …

The questions kinda mesh together in a wonderful way, so I'm going to just summarize. It's an elevator pitch. If a stranger walks up to me and sees that I art to the extent that I art, and says "Can you work for me for free a pretty hefty project I've been daydreaming about on and off about…

On a completely personal level, I'd rather read a great story with mediocre art, than a mediocre story with great art. I believe that you should always try to strive to improve both. Again, on a completely personal level, a passionate, engaging story almost transcends art for me. That being said…

It's my baby, my big ugly baby. but still my baby. [image]

It's a darn goofy pic i made in a dump last night. [image] I enjoyed making it. It has nothing to do with my comic.

Of course! What I meant to express is that I've personally found a new respect for environments, and would like to focus on them more in the future. A very good point, however I would slightly argue that it's the utilization of those props and how characters interact with them that give them …

A fair and sensible response, thank you very much. I agree with you, we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves. and it does vary on context, of course. This is simply a post telling myself that I should branch out from characters and focus a little more on the world they inhabit in order to reall…

I watched a movie last night. (It's been a long time since I watched a movie.) The movie I saw was called, "The Girl Who Leapt Though Time." I was having a crisis of confidence involving my art, but came to a very important realization during the film. I need to respect the environment just…

Hello, Even though I'm an adult (by all technicalities, anyway), this continues to be an issue not only in my professional life, but also in my personal life. I've been on the receiving end of the impersonal "you scratch my back, and you'll be known as the person who scratched my back", and I am a…

I do try to plan out an outline, at least for a overarching plot. That being said, it's the magic of maybe just doodling a scene kinda charms me into seeing if I can incorporate those silly/exciting developments in. Planning every detail in a narrative makes me a little obsessive, and my perfecti…

Hoo, boy. As of recent, my personal earworm has been torturing me.... It's not even an entire song, just a ditty. Imagine waking up to a lazy summer afternoon, the rays of the sun gently slides through the gaps of the blind and hearing a voice in your head going: HE'S YOUNG, HE'S FAST, HE'…

Yeah, I was thinking quite a lot about Dragonball. The same kind of innocent nudity would cause such a controversy here in the states. Then again, The U.S is the only country I know of with child beauty pageants... BUT no- Finger guns.

So, I was hanging out a mate's house when we decided to Netflix binge "Inuyasha". I got a lovely flashback of when how sneaky I felt as a kid watching it late at night on "Adult Swim". Like most kids pretending to be "grown ups", I felt excited and a tad guilty. Watching it again now, it feels…

My ultimate Tapas goal is to create something people remember fondly. I would love to eventually be able create for a living, but if I had a small following where people discussed the content I create and what it means to them- or better yet, what they think the comic meant. If I made somebody re…

"Ysengrimus" for sure. In fact, it's the book in my profile picture. Most of the things I read in the Reynard cycle got me to think existentially. Yet in a weird way, I would say FLCL influenced the atmosphere I like the most. So I try to reflect that absurd yet relaxed feeling in my comics…

are the popsicles in

I have spend about two hours on each page, I usually set up a timer that counts down from two hours. I usually pause it when I'm being ADD or doing something else. I try to spend 2 hours a day at least dedicated to the comic, even I'm not drawing. So CRUD gets at least 10 hours a week of lov…

Definitely narrative. Art is always nice, but it can take a backseat if the story is passionate. One of my favorite webcomics isn't very visually stunning, but the writing is funny, smart, and personally grabs me. It was called Cat Fox Wolf, and it was precious. It was sincere.

So what fires you up when creating comics? Is it the creative process? Is the feeling of getting something done? Or is it your audience? Don't be afraid to link your comics down below, I'd love to read them! -Nivardy.

I thought this might be fun to do. So imagine you're getting ready to try to produce a page for your comic. What do you do to ensure your process goes smoothly? (Or at least as smooth as possible.) For me, I like to make a cup of coffee, or get some other energizing, health-debilitating drink…

I totally appreciate this. The specific things I need to work on kinda made me laugh, because they're things I winced about while making the comic, especially the grass texture. I also think that your comment about not seeing the amount of hard work others went through to get to where they are…

Thank you very much for your advice and the resources! I'll definitely be studying this for the next few weeks, lol.

I never realized how average my art skills were until starting this project. CRUD! is a project that's far to dear to me to drop so early, but... It's kinda humblin'. Aside from that I will still like critique on my comic Anything you believe would help you would help me. -Thanks, Ni…

I'm entirely new to this, but I've been really resonating with this lately. I read in a book by Brad Guigar in The Webcomic Handbook that using your own tools and resources is not cheating, even if used for a shortcut. Yet paradoxically, is cheating. He phrased it like, "cheating your own artist…

I'm pretty obsessed with the concept of identity, and more importantly how others may perceive us. I really like how insightful this reply is. I'm really intrigued by the idea of your comic, I'll check it out!

I'm very new to Tapas, and I'm excited to start discussing with people with the same love for story-telling as me. So, I want to talk about your "avatar", the picture you have chosen for your identity on Tapas. Why did you choose it? How does it make you feel? Do you ever wish it was differen…
