Hey there! It's Valyson! I did an experiment. I wasn't getting much traffic on Tapastic, so I tried moving to webtoon and it has been much more successful. Here are the two links to the same comic, here and on webtoon. http://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/lanloden-story/list?title_no=47409 https://t…
Each of my characters have their own themes, as does the world they're in. But I DO hate it when I open and comic and some weird a** music starts beating my ear drums with a mallet. I love the option to disable auto play and I try to be sure to warn readers first if there is music involved, and they…
That makes a lot of sense now that you mention it. It just had me really confused is all. Still debating whether I will add music or not, but I did want to know how just in case I decided to go ahead and add some.
I do add music to my comics, but I always set it to manual so that readers have the option of turning it on or off. My own music is annoying sometimes, but it's good to set the mood if you WANT to hear it. All about preferences.
I started adding music to my comics, and I know how to upload them VIA Tapastic, but how in the world do you add music in L-Webtoons? I hear music on there but, I'm not seeing any way to upload it.
I use FLStudio Professional Edition.
For my newest comic Ruler I listen to a theme album I composed for it. You can hear it on my Soundcloud
When you decide to get your own website for your comic, where do you go to do it? There are a lot of sites out there that you can use to build your own webpage, how in the world do you choose one best for displaying your comics and other artwork?
the home page still doesn't open up for me...it's just blank!! panics
Probably get in my feelings and lash out at everyone around me. ....anyone else a complicated introvert who doesn't like people but wants company, but doesn't like company?
I wish I could go to a convention... I just don't have the time or money (and what makes it worse...I can't drive!)
I still sometimes have a hard time deciding if I should change my style, or do something completely different... but I think it's mostly what you're most comfortable with and what you like. I think if you're going to make a long term comic/story, it should be something that's not necessarily easy, b…
Mine was mentioned xD I really can't stand those 'perfect' guys or the guys that are so horribly rude to the main girl, but actually love her. "Jeez your so dumb and clumsy and stupid and ugly" - yet every episode he's saving her from some other crud and then "you're so stupid can't you tell I'm in …
I never thought of that - it makes plenty of sense! I'll start experimenting with different size panels depending on the scene and story! Thanks you so much for the input - it helps!
Gasp! Thank you so much. You have no idea how frustrated I was about trying to fit the words into the bubbles. Sometimes I'd even cut out words to make it fit. Thanks to this tutorial - now I can maximize story and cleanliness! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It will be put to good future use! I ma…
Hi everyone! I've been slowly working on my comic Omi-Ni and so far it's been doing a great job! I'm so pleased with all the support I've gotten so far and will hopefully get in the future. But I am my own worst critic. Sometimes I'll upload a page 3 times before I'm minimally satisfied, and even th…
You should check out Naschi's traditional and watercolor artwork. She's very successful and doesn't do any digital work at all. It doesn't matter what art medium you use - success doesn't depend on the pencil, it depends on the hand.
Well everyone has nipples. So draw em'.
For my comic Omi-Ni I try to keep things as simple as possible. But lately I've been trying out adding more details to the art. I use PaintTool SAI and Manga Studio EX5. Sometimes PSCS6. Your blog is helpful! Though I do traditional art only on a personal level, seeing the materials you use is inspi…
[image] Here's the banner for season 1 of Omi-Ni. I plan on changing the banner for each season just to keep with the theme.
I'm not sure what I expect from my story Omi-Ni when I began sharing it. I just really enjoy the story and wanted to show everyone else. I appreciate all the attention it's gotten so far! It makes me so happy to know others like it too!
[image] Here's my latest page from Omi-Ni updated yesterday.
I'm 23 and have been making comics for about 10 years now!
For my OCs I kinda just make up the costumes as I go.
Thank you! I really do enjoy it here!
I am a digital artist and writer (and student). I really love drawing and coming up with stories filled with drama, action, a bit of romance and a spot of humor. So I created Omi-Ni a story which has become my first web-comic project. Omi-Ni is a modern/fantasy tale about a small group of misfits t…
I have the intuos Pro Medium. It's probably the most useful tool I have right now - especially when it comes to digital art. As a matter of fact it's a necessity. Any Wacom product can really help you.
Well I'm still new and my comic Omi-Ni has just reached 29 subscribers. I'm still curious at how some of the creators who are new, post one page and have over 1k subscribers in less than a week! I think about their art and the story, and how they got all the attention! I hope to reach that sort of n…
How do you spread the word about your comic for a bigger audience? I've just started my comic Omi-Ni and I know there are more ways I could be advertising myself and my comic. Anyone have any ideas? I have other accounts, Fb, Tumblr,.. what else can I do to get more attention?
Here's my comic Omi-Ni it's still on season one so come subscribe while it's early! and tell me what you think! [image]
