depends on what you got
what kind of skills would you be looking for in someone wanting to apply to work at tapastic?
I really like the rough art style. there's so many ways it could develop! I'll keep it in mind but I'm saving the big update for round 2 and I have a whole spreadsheet cooking up right now for it.
hoboy this thing is out of date as all hells hillbillies. I'm actually working towards subbing to everything on my backlog and then I'm gonna make a 2.0 of this post and be more serious about things and sort them by genre and sub count and everything.
why do one of them have a candle I WANT A CANDLE GIMME >:'(

this is a sort of letter to the staff, but anyone can jump in with their two beans if they like. The video that got me thinking about this is here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRW4KRPKgQU (caution, swearing, for those who care) in it he talks about several things 1. youtube's inability to pro…
I was kind of singling out comics of under 200, just to keep a standard. if some in this list have risen past that in recent times I wouldn't know, as this list became outdated pretty fast. I will probably make a new (more structured and professional) list of ~<500 or so, but I'm trying to get throu…
can I take at least 5% of the credit for making this place more awesome with my mere presence?
@CyndiFoster yeah, it's not a perfect situation, and I don't know how it would be moderated, probably have some sort of contributor tier, where one can't upload without approval from higher up, but at that point it may as well be @OpalSpike's idea. I dunno, I kind of think I can trust people not to …
I would say, in that it's a singular comic that would give people updates in their list, rather than have them need to look for it, which doesn't sound like much, but I have firsthand experience in how lazy I and people I know can be sometimes, it'd just increase their chances of getting known if ev…
@ifluke1 unless they were subscribing for the sole purpose of discovering new styles and artists. @Aloredd aboslutely, you could say, put up a page where you start a story and hope other people will take it from there, or even try to organise your own little story segment.
so you may be aware that the staff is working on allowing multiple authors to be linked to and contribute to a comic, and I personally can't wait for this feature to HURRY UP AND HAPPEN ALREADY cough and one idea I've been brewing for a while now is a comic that's basically owned by EVERYONE on th…
my mistake, I must have sounded derisive. you did not offend me in any way, and I in fact enjoyed reading this post quite a bit. my apologies if you felt so.
well since you asked so politely I visit the site about twice daily and dedicate about 20 minutes each time to clear up my updates. also I read REALLY fast, I can put it on auto scroll and get through a small page in 4-5 seconds, a text heavy page never takes longer than a minute. then I like, comme…
at first I was all "I hope I don't sound that smug all the time" but then I realized as I was reading this I was making this exact pose, so it's probably spot on.
I sit on the floor against the wall, and change position every 34 seconds.
I wish I could, but my family complains of the noise and earbuds make me feel a bit cramped in the creative department, so I don't use them when doing anything productive.
well, so far, you're the only one in your country that knows this site knows the forums exist uses the forums has read/commented on this thread has spent the time to mark the map not the most inclusive of prerequisites, I fear.
neat idea http://goo.gl/iEFkdF IIII LIKE IT
yeah, the problem seems to be the barebones nature of the wall system, it works just like the comics: they make a post, you get a note. I would hate them to implement something like facebook's ranking system into it, as that would imply that some artists' posts have more 'importance' than others, an…
I didn't want to cause offense or vitriol. I don't know where that came from. offensm not meaning to say people don't enjoy interacting with artists. I'm just one of those personalities that is easily overwhelmed by a sheer amount of interaction, and was wondering how many others have similar feelin…
how many of you skip the 'use a has posted x on their wall' notifications? Like I'll read through them if I'm pretty caught up, but if I'm on a binge reading session after a day or two away, I'll skip those as they make up the majority of the notifications, and are almost always 'here's a little sid…
I'm still figuring out where to find them other than in the premium store itself.
this is definitely going in my pick of the crop.
basic advice from what works for me: read comics like and comment be friendly make a comic people will read I have like a hundred subs with literally no artistic talent and yearly uploads. you'll do fine.
@mancameron no sweat, though I 'like' things so much these days I sometimes do it automatically. It's like a courtesy nudge, 'hey, nice comic', the real test if something is good would be if I've subscribed to it. And so far this site has a good track record, only 3 or 4 comics I've refused to sub t…
german chipmunk techno and auriplane stuff.
or 3 days ago I bet.
so long as one has few subscribers and no indication of an explosion of subs soon, they can be on this list granted they know how to draw and you definitely know how to draw.
Lots of numbers. Generally not good to put too many specifics all at once into the prologues, it tends to feel like one is studying for a quiz rather than taking a peek into the past.
