Hello! I'm trying to make a romance webcomic about a mermaid X pirate. My problem is that the story goes back and forth between the human world where the pirate lives and the merpeople world where the mermaid lives. It would be great to show the story in 2 different worlds but then I think about the…

Maybe it's because I use Macbook for making the comic and then tried to view it on an android smart phone.

My image is warmer on my computer and colder when I view it on my phone

Testing Size is the name. If you open the first episode it has a blue butterfly in it

I looked at the comics of other creators both on my phone and on my laptop for color comparison. Their colors look the same both on a computer screen and on mobile phone

The color looks different on my phone. In photoshop and when I post it on line it looks the same.

I use photoshop to make digital comics and the colors when I post it through my laptop looks the same as in photoshop. But when I view the comic through my phone the color changes???

How many chapters for 1 Season?

If I'm making a comic, what size should one panel be? And how many Megabyte is one episode? Should I submit in Jpeg format?

I've seen webcomics where their line art for buildings are so nice and straight. How do you draw line art for buildings and interiors on photoshop? If I try tracing an under layer picture of a photo of a building with my pen brush I know my lines will be crooked and have different thickness.

How do you guys usually draw your background settings with buildings or interior of rooms? What software do you use?

What is a refreshing new setting in modern times that would be awesome to see? One example that I really liked is from this anime Arakawa Under the Bridge. Takes place in a beautiful setting under a large bridge. [image]

Lots of authors of books or comics don't put their real names on their work but instead have pen names. Like for example the author of ' A series of unfortunate events' uses the pen name Lemony Snicket.

I use Wacom Intuos Pro tablet for that. Medium size.

I think what you mean by is that you want to see more G rated stuff with less sexual stuff. Very, very few relationships are without any sexual sort of thing going on. This varies from culture to culture, religion, personal choice or preferences.

Why is it that the female character always, ALWAYS, has to be a ditzy, dumb, overly smiling, happy-go-lucky, crazy blushing, overreacting person? It's really annoying. And yeah, the guy is always super smart, good looking and cool, like there are no other types of guys.

I honestly don't think that there is such a thing as love at first sight. I always believe it to be physical attraction at first sight. Maybe they saw the person and suddenly they just feel attracted to them physically but write it off as 'love'. I mean, if you just met the person once and you say …

So true. I think this mostly happens in BL/yaoi comics or manga. I really don't get how the guy/girl would still want to be with the person who raped them. Stockholm syndrome???

Maybe, and this is just MAYBE, they think it's hot because they have a fetish revolving around bdsm, or rape fantasies that kind of stuff. And so they view the comics about them as something to get off on? At least that's my theory on this. I hope to God, that they are not actually dumb enough to t…

The ones I read about happened like suddenly. The girl is only a high school student and suddenly she's arranged with some rich older guy or a cool classmate who's arrogant and hates her. Cliched in that way.

I've read and seen some interesting ways characters get entangled in the lives of one another. Like for example: They bumped into each other and A spills coffee on B and has to pay B's expensive suit. (cliched) Random guy show's up at A's uncle's funeral and happens to be a supernatural detectiv…

What romantic cliches have been overdone that you hate and what do you wish would happen instead of the cliched scene?

Thanks for this. The closest term I could get is Evil Mentor, but the term is not exactly accurate for the character i'm talking about.

Like the villain could be someone close to the hero like a family member who always seems to have his back and the one who guides him to what seems to be greatness but is actually manipulating him for the villain's own agenda? Basically the hero becomes a pawn in a game he didn't even know he is pla…

How do you keep your story going over a long series? Do you constantly throw hurdles for your protagonist to overcome all through your series in order to make sure the story can be long? What are the ways/ plot devices you use so that your story continues?

How do you get enough time to even do that?

Right now I'm doing writing, illustrating and colouring by myself and I realise it takes up a lot of time and it is tiring. What about you guys? Do you work alone or have a partner or group of people helping you with your webcomic?

Where or from what do you get inspired by to write your stories?
