How did you come up with your Pen Names?

Lots of authors of books or comics don't put their real names on their work but instead have pen names. Like for example the author of ' A series of unfortunate events' uses the pen name Lemony Snicket.

I've been using this name Lucazu for years. I had a rat named Luca whom I loved so much, after he died I named myself on the internet after him ^^

When I made my twitter account for my comic 'Trinity' I wanted to name it 'TrinityComics' but that was already in use, so I changed it to 'TrinityCodex' cuz it sounds cool.

My dog's name is Lady and my last name is Arrowsmith, so therefore we get LadyArrowsmith works out good.

I like computers and pandas. That's... all there is to it. My favourite animal is actually the guinea pig, but ServerGuinea or ServerPig didn't sound as nice to me as ServerPanda, and pandas were a close second for favourite animal, so I went with it! :'D

I don't use a pen name, but one of my friends who isn't on Tapastic uses her father's birth name (he was adopted as a baby)! I always thought that was a pretty cool pen name story.

The name followed naturally.

I knew Lady was alive! She must have wended her way through the forests of Westeros until she got to @sarrowsmith10's place.

I used to play a Priest on Ragnarok Online a lot (Even though I never got above level 70-ish on the official servers...). Respheal is a portmanteau of two of the key Priest spells: Resurrection and Heal with a 'p' thrown in the middle because why not. It's pronounced Rez-fail.

In one of my stories (...or roleplays, I don't really remember now, but I think it was a story), my OC's nickname was Lady Ignea (...which I still use on dA). Some people used to name their characters with Japanese names no matter what was story's setting, and I had a phase of naming my characters with modified latin words : P My OC could control fire, so I used a word 'ignis'- which, surprise, means 'fire', but alsooo in one dictionary I have it says that it can also mean light, a lightning, a star, anger and love. I'm not so sure about that, but I really liked this word CX 'Igneriss' is a modification of 'Ignea', to make it sound more casual.

"Mappy" is from the name of my character, and "Paint" since I do custom painting with an airbrush. That's how I came up with MappyPaint.

On Neopets, everyone on a chat board I used to frequent once changed all their signatures to look like facebook posts by famous fictional entities. I made mine to be of the Lock Ness monster, and I didn't change it for a long time even after everyone else changed their signatures, so people just started calling me that. I later wanted to give myself a punny fake surname so I got Fynn from fin, 'cause sea monsters have fins. :'D

I got mine from the rock song that got me into rock music as a genre, Phenomenon by Thousand Foot Krutch, I just changed the n to m and added 9 since apparently I wasn't the only person in the world that thought Phenomenom is a wicked name and by the way 9 to me is the most realistic number since 10 is like a point of perfection (eg a perfect score of ten) and I know I cant be perfect so being almost perfect is the best thing

when you put my name in traditional order (i.e. family name, given name), my initials are CL. If you say the letters, it sounds like the french word for sky, 'ciel'. I just added an 'le' to...make it more feminine? idk. Also on most sites the name 'Ciel' is taken (probably because of Black Butler but I've never seen it). Anywho, that's where 'Cielle' comes from.
