Mine kind of fits the bill. It's set in 2011.

Simpsons is a new comparison for. I'll have to watch some episode again.

I like that "rusty" is used to describe someones hair. A friend of mine had a date refer to her hair as "rust colored" before. She said the dude better get a tetanus shot because the curtains match the drapes.

Hey, I took a look around and subbed. Hope your main character doesn't get compared to Unity from Rick & Morty too often. I've got a comic that's a bit different compared to your usual fare as far webcomics go. Has journalism ever been the focus of one? Beats me.

Hey paperwren, I'm a 31 year old and worked full-time as a graphic designer for about half a decade while making print volumes of my comic that's going up on Tapastic in full color now. Nowadays I'm going back to school to learn a lot more about software development and team management because I w…

Hello Tapastic! I’ve had my comic up on the site for a while but decided I’d introduce myself and it to the forums. My comic is called Druid City and it started as a printed graphic novel series back in 2011. I got about 500 pages in and had a couple of volumes released which I sold online and at …

I've actually been working on mine for 8 seven years, all things considered. I released two graphic novels in greyscale, and have now gone back over old work that is being released in full color here on Tapastic. There have been a couple of years where I barely touched it and other where I worked on…

I'm taking this a bit literally...this is the last page I made, granted it'll come out in perhaps a month from now. I'm on Episode 12 and this belongs in Episode 16. [image] The rest of the series is here.

I could easily see a scenario where my main character's done everything he needs to accomplish in the story, but I like the side-characters and world enough that I want to stick in it a while and follow them for a bit. Killing of the Main Character or just putting them on a bus isn't the worst way t…

Still looking for more folks to flock to a young but 40+ page (and growing) comic.

Hey, it seems like the link is broken.

Semi-realistically toned comic set in a real-world location. My hometown in fact. Only a couple of subs right now, get on board.

I suppose this wasn't just drawn but at least part of it was. It's a poster for a comedy show. The headliner's favorite piece of media, like, ever is Persona 5 so I went with that theme. [image]

Hey there. Dunno why exactly but I'm a sucker for moon heads. Coneheads can take right off but moon heads are where it's at. If you want to see what I've got going on it's right down below.

My content on this varies but it's mostly an art account. Prepare to see a lot of local comedy posters and other shit that takes place in south-eastern US bars.

First page of a few included in Chapter 8 of Druid City. [image]

People are pretty media-literate these days so there's a chance the homage will be noticed. I think you could try to be more original with your poses for the most part but all things considered every piece of clothing your going to see on most people is made by a company anyway. So you're only lifti…

I like it, and the only suggestion I have is to make the lighter color more intense for a higher contrast. Highest level of contrast would be a more yellow color but if you want it to be more mellow maybe try just splash of it.

I just restarted my comic Druid City from scratch in order to redraw it and to reset everything in color. Not to mention re-write phrases, one-liners and scenes that embarrass me now. I was a complete n00b when I first started it and decided that I would get better through experience, which was the…

Sci-Fi with large implications, but only a small group of characters is focused on. Kind of like Octavia Butler's Bloodchild. Or to a lesser extent, Signs from M. Night Shyamalan, but that one has problems.
