Hi,

I'm Faisal Hussein.

I'm probably the only comic artist in the entirety of my family which is really sad and lonely.

Why do I make a comic that is based around middle eastern reference, culture, and folklore?

Well, there are at least three things:

One, there is barely any comic that revolves around middle eastern influence.

Two, I had a lot of thoughts in my mind that I want to publish it on my comic; Mukhtar.

Three and probably this is the most significant one, Is for everyone to read my comics, this is a very obvious choice which makes me relate to many other comic makers but yes I wish for many people around the world to view, read, subscribe, comment, like, and share.

Feel free to lend me advice or criticize me if it could benefit me to improve my comic even more. If there is an error for spellings or grammar, don't be shy to point that out so long as it helps my comic to grow better than ever.

Here is my comic, it is young but to start earlier than late right? Every Friday I will update a page:

Well, someone gave a simple advice: Read what you wrote, and search your feelings whether some parts are not to your liking, and you would later remove it. Authors are readers too. Don't let the details be an entire page or two.

Thank you, Though I must inform you that Mukhtar is heavily based on Fantasy with the inspiration of culture, mythology, and historical influence of the middle east along with my own ideas for storytelling, so don't expect historical events that take place from the Rashidun Caliphate all the way to …

Nice, it's great to see another Arab making a comic on Tapas. I will subscribe to the Slave Revolt comic. I have published two comics on Tapas, the first is Mukhtar, a fictional fantasy with cultural, mythological, and historical inspiration of the middle east. The second is recent, called Abbas…

A stick. His name came from a stick, and no one know this but himself, and his mother. [image] He somehow has a high IQ for an eleven year old. He realize it will be humiliating if someone find out about it. So he tried every option, burning it, breaking, and even bury it. [image] None of which …

Mukhtar Mohammad A'noor: [image] The next one, would you be surprised that the MC is the faction itself called Abbasia? Meaning no characters in this comic would get the plot armor MCs always have.

"A boy forging his own destiny to unite Araby."

Did you try Tapas on your PC or Laptop? Is it the same problem?

I DO! I DO! IDO! I have done the same thing for my comic Mukhtar! See for yourself if you're interested: I know my second comic is SCI-FI but it's close when it comes to world-building.

Interesting, I'll take a look at it once I'm free from work and other busy stuff. In the mean time, here's mine: This is my latest comic based on Sci-Fi yet related to my first comic but set in a different location, and timeline in the galaxy:

306, even though a small group actually read my comic, I think either they left Tapas, or just straight up sub so I could sub them back. This is my new comic called Abbasia. It has more than 25 subs.

Here is the villain! The Silver bane of Revolution! Nizar AL-Rizq! [image]

This is my second comic. Though my first comic is fantasy, they are in the same universe set in a different timeline, and different system.

Well, I have mine updated right now. Here it is, enjoy.

My favorite character, Mukhtar. Who is the MC of my comic, is quite the troublesome despite being a goodie two shoes and a breadbasket of the family. Most concerning is his curiosity, selflessness, and will, which could lead him to all kinds of danger. [image] Like when he's trying to bring back the…

A Tale of Swords and Explosions just reminds me of the name Ice and Fire. If this story is going to be about Osram, then you can just name it Osram. Like my comic named after my MC, "Mukhtar". Or like @BoomerZ suggestion.

Wow. The color makes the page more attractive to view and read, but I know what you mean. I too was thinking if I should just stick to black and white but after years of making pages with colors such as this: [image] I am no longer convinced that I'll ever make a decent page without coloring, And …

To keep yourself motivated is simple, do the things you love and feel satisfied over the satisfaction of others. That's how you continue the work you're passionate on. It will feel like a holiday on the things you like rather than working and no earnings. It's up to the readers whether they feel i…

My MC name Mukhtar almost cause havoc and destruction upon the desert ship by almost unleashing the most powerful and hostile of djinns; the Al-Marid. Though he was possessed by the whispers of the Al-Marid. Which means he never intend to open the pot that imprisoned the djinn. Nevertheless, he shou…

I'm not so sure what's going on, but I'm sad, for now. You did type until next time, so that means we'll be hearing from you soon. Stay safe.

Look, the only way to write a story is to feel inspired and try not to copy cat the content that inspires you. Best start with mythologies like the Greek mythos, Egyptian, Persian, Chinese, all that good jazz. And when you're done, read some histories of rise and fall about heroes, empires, weird ev…

[image] My MC's (MUKHTAR) parents are: KHALAF (The father): [image] ADILAH (The Mother): [image] Jabir (The Uncle) [image] Both parents and uncle are dead. So he's adopted by MIDHA, along with his adopted brother; SA'AD and MIDHA's biological daughter; ASRA: [image] Fun fact, MIDHA was a f…

With the hair up, I have the sense that he has matured, grown, and more brave, a development on his character. More like an adult. If he's still a kid, it would be preferable for his hair to be down.

A new page is already released, today!

My favorite has always been the drawings characters, battle scene, coloring, and other effects. My least favorite however but it had to be done, background cities, and hands.

If you're interested in medieval fantasy based in a different culture, and mythology, here it is:

For me, it's these three. Unfortunately, Asra gets the least amount of panels compare to Mukhtar, and Sa'ad: [image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image][image]

Here's my latest favorites! [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] [image] [image]
