The initial submission deadline is mid-May, if I'm not wrong. I see @Kelheor has already posted a link to the official rules. Other than this one, Clip Studio Paint also holds Global Comic Awards every few months. They just announced another round in collaboration with Pixiv, you can go check that …

Looks really cool. Gonna check your novel out. Are you entering the contest with this one?

Ooh, you seem experiences with these contests then! Would love to know the titles for your previous entries. Do leave links here. Which contest did you enter previously? Sci-fi Thriller is a very interesting mix of genres. Would love to read it once it comes out! The breaking back part is definitely…

I went and checked out 'Haunted House'. Love the dialogues, very witty. You could definitely enter with that one if you don't find time to make a new one. I'm still weighing my pros and cons. If I can manage the time to make a new comic for the contest, it's probably going to be under the comedy ca…

I'm curious if anyone in this forum are actually planning to participate in the Webtoon contest this year. I'd love to hear about the your plans: 1.. Are you doing it alone or as a team? 2. Are you submitting an existing webtoon of yours or making a new one? 3. What category and genre are you pl…

You can research and see if there are any! I'd love to join one as well but unfortunately the artist community where I live aren't very into webtoons. So I'm trying to find studios who are open to a different nationality than theirs

Hi, fellas! I've been researching a lot about Webtoon Production studios these days and I discovered some interesting info I didn't know earlier. I didn't know that some of the Korean, Japanese and Chinese Webtoon IPs (a good number of them) are actually outsourced to Production studios based in ot…

Hi, just sent you a dm. Please, check it.

Hi, just sent you my portfolio via DM. Please, check.

Hi, I'm a bit confused about the role description. Usually studios have different artists to handle sketching, line art, colors etc. Are you looking for artists who'll handle all the responsibilities or just a specific responsibility?

Sent my application via email. Hope you'll like it.

Hi, are you looking for someone to handle the whole drawing process or someone who can handle a specific part of the work like sketching, lineart, coloring etc?

That's super-fast! I've only done flats for myself up until now so I might just start with flat/panel rates and build speed with practice. Thank you for the insight!

That's interesting. How many panels could you complete in an hour? I guess, hourly rates would be more suitable for those who can work really fast.

Thanks a lot! That cleared a lot of confusion!

Thanks! Do you prefer charging hourly rates or flat rates? I personally find flat rates more comfortable since that way both parties know what they're agreeing to. Also, do you mean $10-$20 for shading prices only? Or for flatting and shading combined?

Hey, fellas! I've been thinking about branching out as a comic coloring assistant since that's my favorite part of making comics. But I'm a little confused about how to price my work since I've only drawn for myself up until now. So, if any of you currently have coloring assistants (flatting/shading…

Hi, Fiddlyturtle here! I proofread comics and stories written in English and am currently trying to build up my portfolio for proofreading novels. I'm looking for novel writers here on Tapas who feel like they would benefit from a proofreader going through their works. I want to proofread some ch…

Hey there! I'm interested in joining your project as a beta reader. I would love to see some of your artworks before I confirm though. We can talk via direct messages or discord if you're interested. My eligibility: - 20 years old - Past writing experience, familiar with webtoons and currently pre…

Looks good! I'll check it out when I get a bit of free time! Let's support each other! ^_^

Thank youu! I really appreciate the feedback! I'll be updating new episodes every Friday so stay tuned!

Hello, my comic is a funny journal comic of my life. It's a collection of all the moments I messed up in life haha XD

Always wanted to be one. It's a dream come true

@migxmeg @rajillustration Do you mean the 5 minutes I sit there wondering what to tag the episodes all go in vain? And I could use that time to get some snacks instead? Okay, that discovery hurt

Yeah, some reader friendly instruction under the pages about how to search tags would be nice so that readers can see it and know how to search for tropes they like. :expressionless: (That's okay, Don't wory about it! XD)

I also noticed that even though we can publish something by selecting 2-3 genres, when updated, the series only shows up under the major genre page. It was a bit disappointing since I thought, being able to select three genres means my series will show up in the fresh page for 3 genres when I update…

It would be really helpful if the whole tag thing could be a more known matter to readers who are looking for things to read. But judging from how I just only got to know it today too (consideing I've been reading tapas series for a few months), I wonder how many people actually know how to use it p…

I was wondering about the underscore issue too. I noticed that most comics that have a similar genre with me use comic_strips as a tag so I decided to do that as well. Though I doubt anyone would actually search things with an underscore

I was wondering how readers find the series using tags. Did a search with tags after you said it and I understand it now! Thank you so much! :grinning:

I've been posting here for a little over three weeks and I keep getting stuck every time the tag section comes up in an episode. Every platform works with tag differently so I'm wondering how exactly the tagging in Tapas works? What does it do and how does it help with discovery? And how do you use …
