Sounds like a good idea to me. When I first started I've made about 20 pages of random stuff just for learning to do comic plots. Having a sketch book for feedback is better then doing everything on your computer.

If you had won the lottery and you to turn one of your comics or novels into a cartoon or movie, would you?

If I had a good million I would take around 100 of my best idea's make comics out of them. Then I would take the most liked one and turn them into TV shows. Four or Ten years later I would ask my fans if they would like a movie.
