I can understand why people are moving from Twitter. For me, the only social media I'm using is Facebook. I guess that's a bit outdated! Yeah, my comics are not for Tapas. Fantasy romance seems to be the main genre here.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm no expert on social media! I just post things and hope for the best!
Thanks for the info! Yes, I'm not good at promoting, and it's probably because I don't know where to begin. This is good advice.
I work full time, have kids, and when I have downtime I like to draw. I don't like trying to get more subscribers or promote. I think I have 13 likes. I would like more views, but what would that accomplish? Does anyone ever get an agent here? I've illustrated for newspapers, and honestly, it p…
A story about growing up. [image]
Nice! My comics take place in Canada too.
I noticed anime romance seems to rule Tapas. I've created two comedy comics for younger readers here; Fearfield, and Real. Has anyone else created something a little bit different than the norm? I know what I've done isn't all that crazy (maybe just a little), but I'd like to see some comi…
I'm a graphic designer for the public service of Canada who also does occasional editorial cartoons.
For me, I can't handle anything where animals, women and children are hurt.
Also, a sad cliffhanger? From "Real". [image]
For me, my favourite cliffhanger from my comic, Fearfield, is a visual. [image]
My favourite line from my comic, Fearfield, is "No, the house isn't that creepy. It looks lovely under soft light." [image]
I'm pretty new here and I'm just figuring all this out. Here's my comic. It's about two sisters who move to a new town. They discover their house is haunted, their basement is infested with monsters, and the forest is inadvisable to tread. Plus they're starting in a new school and have to make …
Thanks! I can't seem to find your stuff here.
Thanks! I've never been good at promoting myself. I like to create stuff, but when it comes to getting it out there I'm no good. I'm reading your novel right now (and noticed you're going on hiatus to possibly rework some things). Looking forward to updates!
Hi, I'm new to Tapas and have no idea how to promote my book. Actually, I'm not even sure if I'm publishing it correctly! Here it is, and if anyone sees any formatting issues or if the episodes are backwards please let me know. And if things are cool, I'd like to know that too! https://tap…
Thanks again. I saw your comic and subscribed. I like your style!
Thanks! Another question. How do people promote their comics? I've read a bunch on this site, but I have no idea how to get eyes on mine. Is it usually through the forum? Since they're separate, I don't see how clicking on a profile will lead to anyone's comics.
Hi, I'm new to this site. I've just started publishing a comic and decided to join the forum. Is it normal to have to create a separate account for the forum? I thought, since I'm logged in to my tapas account, I'd already be logged in to the forum.
