Comic Artist, trying to live off my dreams manifest.
I draw Scarlet Acres and Memories of Natch. My current project is Jackie Welldrop.
I swear I am human and not some creepy fish-person!

Here's my latest page from my comic Keymic !! (/'^')/ [image]

Here's mine! I had the first chapter of my comic printed through a "print on demand" comic book site. It turned out really well! Just did a small run to see how it looked, just a test to see when the time came to go to conventions that I could use that company, and I think I will! The first chapte…

Everything is important unless you are content with being mediocre. I should add that there is no replacement to life drawing. You can draw from anime/cartoon styles all you want but you'd just be digging yourself into a hole.

And if they are not selling you but giving you free service means you are the product

that's cause when someone hears artist they think Painters and comic book artist that, sadly, don't have a bunch of money and can be a really unstable job (except if you work for one of the big comic book companies like DC and Image), but they forget the other careers in the background that need a…

That horrible moment where you realize you have no brushpen in your possession--> :grimacing: Jokes aside, I need to get back into traditional mediums. But here's an "inked" panel I did for my upcoming webcomic, in the meantime! :grinning: [image] Yes, it was done digitally...

My sketches are so messy, that I have to sketch bases and then do a cleaner sketch on a new layer if it's really bad. [image] And then this is a finished drawing [image]

my goal is to become a storyteller, a writer, a director, someone who makes stories that people enjoy, my big dream is to make a story in all major fields of media, writing, comics, film, television, animation, games, music, even theatre. i want to at least dip my toes into every facet of the cre…

Even though I currently live in America I struggled with this too. Last two years of high school they start hounding you. If you don't mind me asking Mr. B do you reside in Germany? I have family over there, and lived there for a while and this sounds familiar. Anyway as for the topic at hand, w…

A very tricky question for me. (Potentially long block of text ahead, you have been warned.) If you had asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up at, say, eight years old, I would've told you "zoologist" without blinking. Having always been fascinated with nature and animals, it seemed like a lo…

People will find and sub to your comic no matter how niche it is. Of course, you've still got to put yourself out there and commit to a regular updating schedule, but with the swath of BL, slice of life gag comics, and whatever else is "popular" on the site and with Staff right now, I feel that its …

It hatched into a Tortoise! [image] The tortoise brought an egg. [image]

They're really bad. Layout [image] Finished [image] Though my editor enjoys having to go through the 'stick figure' version of the comic to check my spelling. This page was still one he's faves in the 'stick figure' form [image][image]

The main reason the fire doesn't work is the lighting of everything else, to be honest! If you grab any photo of fire, even during the daytime, and turn it grayscale -- [image] you'll see that the fire is the brightest thing in the image. In a grayscale image, it's going to be defined by the shadi…

Calvin and Hobbes made me a lot, whenever it got kind of emotional. So did the final chapter of book 3 of Amelia Rules!. Still love that series.

Consistency. Make and follow an upload schedule. Be active on art communities, post on forums. Advertise and promote your comic. (ie: DeviantArt, Twitter, FB, IG, etc)

Going fast without falling into a black hole of research. :frowning:

Being able to talk to animals... Oh you mean in comics, for me it's getting used to colors.

Still struggle with this. Like a voice saying "No ones even going to read this, they'll take one glance and ignore it." Then I remember if I don't do it, I'll just hate myself for not doing it anyways.

my series Kao is a story I created last year as a challenge to myself, I already had a long format web comic and I wanted to see if I could make a good web comic that is more on the short side, I took inspiration from two anime from my childhood, Zatch Bell(zatch is best king) and Digimon tamers(gui…

I created started creating GodTown because I have always ALWAYS wanted to make a magic girl comic and never really could because i sucked.... i still suck but not as much to the point it was holding me back from telling this story. i know there are TONS of "girls find they have magic powers gotta st…

Boy am I glad that Fall is finally here. I'm also glad and thankful that I finally have moved into and settled into my own house! And I'm also thankful that I'm no longer sitting on my butt and am actually putting in an effort to actually write, draw, and officially start my comics.
