So Asexual Awareness Week starts today and I was wondering if any of you were doing some stories for that or had stories featuring aces on Tapas?

I want to recommend some stories (both novels and comics) that do on my website/social media this week and I'd love it if I could include some from Tapas as well. Since my subscribers are mostly interested in BL I'm only going to include stories that feature m/m relationships.
You're still welcome to post your stories here if they're centered around women - just keep in mind that I personally won't share those

I also take suggestions on novels featuring ace relationships outside of Tapas btw. So if you know any good ones you personally liked, tell me about them  I'd love to take a look!

Oh, and this is the story I did for Asexual Awareness Week in case somebody wants to have a look:

Both main characters are ace (demi and gray). I've got some praise about the ace representation in this comic, so I guess it will be a good addition to your list.

Ah, I actually have your story on my reading list already. It's really fun!

Oh, my gosh, I didn't know this week existed :sob:

This is my comic:

My character John is ace and facing being in love with his sex addict friend, Juniper.

And Spacefuture's comic and novel are also ace BL

In Neon Kiss you have Oren, space prince, and Lumi, an AI, developing an ace relationship.

In The Vote, Suatre (gay) and Sorrel (ace) fall in love.

Thank you for bringing up this topic, thank you so much!!

Aw, that's such a nice way to show awareness for this week. <3

I sadly don't have a special story for ace awareness (glad you have!), but perhaps someone might enjoy my novel, since its 2nd protagonist is demisexual, and I don't think there will be any sexual activity between the two men in the first book. I feel like we have too little actual demi representation when it comes to the ace spectrum. I'm glad to see some variety in this thread already!

Unfortunately, I'm on hiatus right now, and so far only Act 1 out of 5 is done. :sweat_drops: If that doesn't stop you from including it, though, go ahead. Otherwise, maybe at least you are interested in it.

The hiatus will end around December/January, since I'm waiting to give birth and want to have some time with our little one afterwards before I jump back into the fray. xD

I only found out a while ago as well so I feel like spreading the love everywhere now!
Thanks for the recommendations! They all sound interesting from your description

Don't worry about the hiatus! My readers are mostly web novel readers anyway so lots of them are used to sometimes only getting an update every few weeks or even months. If you don't mind (or want me to), I could include the info when you'll come out of hiatus so that they'll know when to expect the next update.

And yep, I'm very happy that there are stories from different parts of the spectrum as well! I'm personally on the outer fringes and I'll mostly talk about my own experience in the other posts I've planned so I think it's great if I can include stories that will show them that that's not everything. I mean I try to mention it here and there but I only feel comfortable talking about my own experiences in-depth right now so I'm afraid it would be too one-sided otherwise (and everything will start to think aces are strange flowers again :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:).

Hey, if you need insight on other experiences on the ace spectrum, I'd say don't hesitate to ask! I only got comfortable in my identity a few years ago (since allo-cisheteronormativity makes it hard to see that we're not "broken" or anything), so I'm sure there's much common ground to be had, even with different manifestations of asexuality in us. :kissing_smiling_eyes:

I recall you're German, right? That would 100% make it easier to talk about this, too, since I am, too. xD So if you need anything for your website, you can shoot me a DM or contact me via Twitter @ therealbereth. ^^

And yes, you can do that! I'd say something along "not earlier than December, probably January", I guess. At least, that's what I wrote in my last announcement regarding the future of Mirai's Tears.

Thanks so much for this. Being ace never feels more comfortable and valid than when nice people like you help raise awareness and understanding.

Well my character is non binary so idk if that counts, they're in a relationship with both a male and female character (lion/sliver) and is gonna have more screentime soon since they appeared on and off. Made them a shy but sometimes sassy asshole cause im tired of ace characters being sheldon rip offs lol

The main character is bi and currently trying to understand that realization, the boy he has a crush on is asexual, (which annoys some of the readers when they find out ><) it hasn't been outright stated by any of the characters as an official label (in story) but it has been implied and hinted at several times, at least enough times for a few of the readers to pick up on.

Mn, I didn't think about that before. No problems with the non-binary part but I'm not sure if I want to read/recommend something with relationships in both directions since it's not really my cup of tea. But I'll take a look and decide then!
Anyway, it's always nice to see some diversity and maybe somebody else here will love it to bits from the get-go

@Kura Alright, I put it on the list! And I don't mind whether the label is stated outright. I feel that for some stories, it'd be impossible to even included it since having the term in a fantasy world, for example, might be strange

I have a female asexual character in my fantasy series, Unveiled. Her name is Celia, and she first appears in Chapter 2 as Fox Woman. But the readers don't find out she's asexual until Book 2 (which I haven't posted yet). Not m/m though.

Looking forward to reading all the Ace stories.
One of my characters in God Child2 is the asexual daughter of the God of Reproduction. Her friends at her new school are in a m/m relationship by the end (at least in my head.)
How did I perfectly split what you're looking for within the same chapters.

12 days later

I'm a bit late for this thread but maybe you still care for new stories to find :-D?
My comic is a slice of life drama about mental health and LGBT+ issues.

The main characters are two guys - one bi and the other one ace (not outed or clearly stated yet).
I wouldn't tag it with BL because it's mainly a friendship story but it touches M/M romance
and (a)sexual topics between them;
