le gasp People who like their lineart? I never thought I'd see the day o_o (Seriously though, your linearts are indeed quite dope :])

@AlydaB I really like how you draw cloth in The Herald's Soul! It's really ... swirly? but it still looks correct and it's so satisfying to look at and I haven't seen anything like it before and I likey :'D

I definitely appreciate my style more than enough and have already tooted my own horn more than a few times, so I'll try to at least be original XD

I think the real strength of my style is economy. It's quick to draw, and lets me fudge details, and lets me experiment with panels like this that'll take me a billion years in literally any other style :stuck_out_tongue:

The idea of trying to do this panel in my style makes me want to cry. Good on you for that economy of line and detail; it's serving you well.

First of all I wanna make a round of applause for all the artists here! It's an honor to be surrounded by so many talented people :cry_swag:

@nekocoa thank you for this wonderful thread! I really love your soft shading too! It's very cozy

@igneriss they all are so different and all look amazing, great storytelling with illustrations! :open_mouth:

@liaroger I really do like how you draw faces too! Especially noses ^^

@AlydaB really really enjoying your intense coloring, it has such a raw energy!

I think my favorite thing in my art is how fluid, lively and dynamic it looks, and even though I became better, I think it actually had this feeling from the beginning.
My line art is still not that clean, but I really love it anyway  Starting Inktober last year really boosted my self-esteem, reminding me of the things I am actually good at.

And I actually love how I draw people and faces in particular, I think they are in a nice solid balance of anime and more realistic style nowadays.

The liveliness is most noticeable in my sketches, but last year I kinds broke a wall in my coloring, so now my colors are as vibrant as ever which I really enjoy ^^ Never thought I will be able to do something as colorful.

Ah, I'm so late, I'm sorry. (Had to work every day last week and I just slept until 2pm and still feel tired lol)
But I'd like to give a round of compliments too (and finally reply to the people that addressed me)

@nekocoa Thank you so much! That' exactly what I was going for.

@Scarlet_Cryptid That's impressive! :open_mouth: I mean the old drawing is kinda cool too, you already had a grasp on anatomy then, but you've come a long way still.

@rumpenstiltzkin Those hands though! They're impressive. And I love the lighting, it sets the mood perfectly.

@Byunnii Oh I love the colours and how painterly and sparkly your art looks. And you have really interesting and unique character designs.

@AlydaB No need to doubt yourself, your art is beautiful. I'm low-key obsessed with the dynamic poses and the shading on the guy's arm. And you have very nice colour palettes, they're compelling but don't have too much going on.

@Mallory The first style is so cute! :heart_01:I love the shapes and how the characters all have their distinct silhouette, I feel like that's one of the strong suits of more stylised styles and you do a great job. And the characters in your other style look very cool. I love sketchy lineart too btw, I feel like it really adds to the style.

@Kann I love those colours and how expressive your characters are despite remaining "pretty" - it's like every piece tells a whole story. And the amount of detail is impressive.

@Noorie You have great lineart and colours. And I'd say that you do have an art style and it seems quite versatile, like it'd work well with pretty much every genre. I could picture those characters in a gag a day comic, a romance, a heavy drama, an epic fantasy story ... anything really, and it would fit.

@Stargazer31 I llike our colours too, and how unique your character designs are. And I'm low key jealous because lineart is still one of the most difficult things for me.

@EverydayWonderlander Those colours! So nice and moody. And your lineart is so clean ... I also like how you draw clothes and, they look so realistic. (I know it might seem like a small thing but fabric i hard!)

@TheLemmaLlama Toot your horn as much as you want, your art looks great! I love the sketchy feel and that panel ... well, if I were to do it in my style I'd wanna get drunk first, then cry and then go to sleep and never do it. Meanwhile you captured the busy feeling perfectly.

@Kelheor Thank you so much! Hehe, noses are fun. I think you already know how much I love your style, how vibrant and expressive it is (and your level of stylisation is right up my alley) ... Suffice it to say that I take mental notes on how to improve my art (and to put in more effort in general) every time I see yours.

@rumpenstiltzkin I love the expressiveness of your style and your hands are so amazing!

@Byunnii Wow, your color choices are so lovely! And I love the way you draw eyes!

@AlydaB The poses you draw feel so natural and dynamic; I hope to be able to draw poses like that eventually! And the shading you choose for your drawings works really well

@Mallory Having two different styles is awesome! I think the first style is so expressive and fun and the second gives you room for more serious pieces, which is something I'd like to develop myself someday

@Kann All of your faces are really expressive and I love the way you use color to create an atmosphere!

@Noorie I like the colors you use in your drawings and I think your paneling looks really nice!

@Stargazer31 I think both your colors and your lineart look super good!

@EverydayWonderlander Your line weight adds a lot to your drawings and I think the shading you use works well!

@TheLemmaLlama The sketchiness of your lines works well with the drawing! It seems so fun have such loose and expressive lines!

@Kelheor Wow! Your color choices are so nice! And I love the way you do lineart

Experimented with styles. I think it turned out ok. It looks like something out of Mario and Luigi. The slightly chibi, extreme proportions and cheek spike is just what I do at this point. Not sure if I like it or hate it, but I just can't stop.

Oh that is cute though, and I love the way you colour, the soft shading really fits the style.

Thanks. I'm super comfortable doing vector art. But shading like this takes me 1000 miles away from my comfort zone.

I think I draw simple and chill very well. My drawings do not typically have a lot of a drama, which is sometimes nice, like a little lighthearted scribble.

Your style is so nice and has a great mood to it! I think your poses look very dynamic and fluid

It's taken a while, but I've come to quite like working with my art style! ^-^ It's definitely different compared to other web comics out there (I don't think I've seen too many that use photography) which does make it hard for feedback and inspiration though I feel that that has allowed me to just try whatever and hopefully get a good result out of it!

It's quite fun to work with different coloured lights and angles which might help it to mimic the traditional illustrative web comics! It's also fun to try and mix dramatic moments with cuteness! >.<

Using photography for comics is so interesting; I don't think I've seen any comics that use that before. The lighting and angles you're able to get with your photography are very nice looking!
