Bilingual Comics

Hey guys!

Can we make a thread sharing each others bilingual comics/or non english comics?
I have a bilingual comic called El Peso Hero.
Only one character speaks Spanish, and on Tapastic he goes translated...as of right now..

Let me know what you guys think!

my comic Anterra Chronicles has the "change language" option activated (for chapter 1 for now at least, haven't uploaded the other spanish pages, they're at monos.mx or subcultura if you want to check those out) but that takes me to your comic, don't you think is better to have both options available, instead of mixing them? i mean there's a lot of people who only speaks spanish or english and they are not going to understand your comic 100% it's kind of troublesome to reach more people in my opinion :/

I see your point. I'm currently relettering my #1 series all in Spanish. Majority of my followers are English speakers and I haven't had a great urgency yet to letter all our it in Spanish.
I have El Peso Hero speak sully speak Spanish because he needs to be true to the culture and himself. In my printed comics I actually include a translation page.
Thanks for sharing Anterra with me , I'll be reading it in Spanish.

Woa, I am a Chilean and all my comics are in spanish. A friend translates a few pages for tapastic, but, my comics are complete in spanish

Mine is both English and French!
I started adding the French version here, but I don't know if people actually read it. And because the main language is English anyway, I just sticked to the English one here and the French one on my main website.

Any Bilingual Japanese comics? I think bilingual comics could be good for studying, and I just so happen to be studying Japanese in particular =P

I like adding different languages into comics, but it can be tricky to handle when dealing when translated editions.
In the future, my comic Hearts, which is originally written in Spanish, will have characters who only speak English. I think that it'll feel nicely within the story, but I've had to work my way around it when writing the script for the English translation of the comic.

That's why I've decided to write my scripts in English first: if I write the Spanish version first, I struggle to make the English translation sound natural, but I don't have that problem if I do it the other way round.

I understand UltHamBro, If it fits your world try having individual characters speak only that language. We should push diversity in our books. Is it easier for you to write your comic script in Spanish or English?

Tapastic doesn't provide multilingual support but you do have an option to upload "original language" version of the comics on dashboard > series > episode management.

Most of the Japanese comics on the internet are usually hosted on Japanese sites and by default Japanese only. I reccomend trying to see if you can find online raw scans of manga that you can try reading and then reference back to official or good english translations. (Alternatively instead of looking for online raws, buy manga in Japanese but I'm assuming you live outside of Japan so that might be trickier)
(My comic in the future will have a Japanese translation released along with the English version but I'm a ways away as of now)
