I like engaging with other BL fans c: I wish there was a discord server just for BL creators, but the only one I know is full ;-;

1. Man it's actually weird to label my story as BL, I can't explain why XD Maybe because it doesn't follow the BL tropes, or because it's a secondary genre (it's more focused on fantasy/drama/coming-of-age), or because the characters are too young at the current point... or maybe it's just the stigma that the BL genre has lol. But it's definitely a BL, technically.
   My characters are teen classmates and roommates in a magic school, and they argue a lot. It's like the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope, except the "enemies", "friends" and "lovers" phases are all mixed up XD And it also has a bit of psychological drama, inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion.

3. I kinda stopped reading BL manga because I got tired of the same-y premisses and tropes. Omg your art style is really cute!! I really loved the art of Kaze to Ki no Uta too, even if the story is problematic AF. (I think the creator now is like the head of a manga school too now???)
I would like to make a discord like that, do you know of the one that was like full??? So I can see an example LOL. I think it would be nice to have a place for people to share ideas and work on creating nice comics together >.<;

Yeah Kazeki is very dark hahah But I love it because I'm really into psychological drama, and it's got a certain unique vibe that I've never found before in other BL manga. I'm actually very surprised that you know it, because no one ever talks about it, it looks so underground lol XD

1. My comic is actually a bit of a love letter to the BL manga scene so it's got a lot of your typical BL centric themes haha! The main character is called Makoto who enjoys wearing dresses and looking like a girl, but is very much happy being male! He's a bit of a shit who likes to play up to how people 'see' him, so if they think he's just a helpless girly boy, that's how he'll act even though he isn't like it at all. Then you got the two main love interests Shino and Seiya who are just kinda moody average guys.

2. Uuuuh I think the first one I ever read was Earthian by Yun Kouga maybe? I remember shipping stuff way before reading any of it, that's for sure. (Matt and Tai from Digimon hahahaha)

3. I'm actually not reading any at the moment so recommendations would be great!

I'll join in, sounds fun enough!

1) The main characters in my BL novel are Joey and Simon! I use a ton of tropes, so Simon is the shy nerdy guy who has a crush on Joey, who is a lovable jock. Something in their backstory as friends happened which ended their friendship and made Joey dislike Simon in the story they need to work through that in order to get together eventually.
2) first one I read here was "a matter of life and death" but sadly that one updated with a message today discontinuing it, because the author felt uncomfortable working on it any longer
3) I have a lot I am currently keeping up with but I can't pick out one haha
