I wanna see how much you've improved and how different the style is.

My first page:

My latest page;

Okay so, I notice quite a few differences when comparing them side by side. The obvious one is that I don't draw in colour any more. I mean, I do, but only for special occasions. Also, something that's interesting is that I used to put way more attention to detail in the beginning, then I stopped, but now I've started doing that again. By that I mean, I used to spend hours on my first pages, then it got quite hard, so I stopped, but then, I actually realized it's quite hard to draw my characters without the attention to detail. I would draw a character in one scene, but then in the next they'd look different. Maybe their eyes would be bigger, or their face shape would be off, so I started storyboarding, and doing rough sketches, which I actually never did until now, but that weirdly made it much easier and fun. So yeah, I guess my advice is to storyboard before finishing. And while I'm on the subject of giving advice, I recommend drawing your characters in a sketchbook, because I tried not doing that, and instead I was going off my memory, and that sucked. So yeah, if you don't already, I recommend having a sketchbook with all your characters, so you can just look at that to make sure they look the same.
I don't wanna write for much longer, cuz I don't wanna bore anyone who's reading this, but one other thing I've noticed about my first page is that my mc acts nothing like how she would act today.
They're based off of me, and I would not be like that in the morning lmao. If I ever get the chance, I might re-write the first few chapters to make it more like them lol. Also, her age is wrong. When I first wrote it, I guess I wanted her to be 17, but I changed my mind, so now her and her best friend are 15. That's all, now tell me about ur comics, or if there's anything else you noticed about mine

Not my first panel, but I think it represents where I was at better than the others.

And this is the latest panel

I just barely changed up my workflow, which now involves line art and colors instead of gradients.

My very first strips are very sloppy looking. I gave myself exactly an hour to finish, and I was still getting used to drawing digitally. I think my art has pretty much improved in every aspect since I started. I think some of the facial expressions I still use can be seen in the earlier ones. The crudeness has a little charm, but the current ones are outright better in anatomy, perspective, detail, style, ect.

Definitely have reference/model sheets for your characters if you don't already have them. I have a few for all my recurring/background characters and all my background designs/colors so I can easily refer back to them.

So it's two different comics I've made. The most recent is honestly kind of a downgrade but I'm still trying to find a style so.

My comic’s only a few months old, so there wasn’t much improvement in much things.. Except panel layout.
First page:

Vs the latest page I’ve completed:

I only have one comic I did earlier this year and I don't think it was long enough to show much improvement, lol. Here's the first couple of panels.

And the last one

not the first but it was made one month later (05/03/2023)

(12/10/2024)

Here my first page of my comic

...and the recent one.

All are posted on the same day since it came out last week.

Here's my first panel!

And my latest!

It's started with Landon and ended with him too, ahaha! I guess I improved a little!

My first page ever in my life?

Circa 1998... feel free to fact check celebrities mentioned in 1st panel

Or first panel of AngHell Dela Blackpill after coming off a few months hiatus? (Dec 2023)

panel from the most recent update...

Here are mine:

My first page (August 10th 2024)

My latest page (November 5th 2020)

The differences I see here are:

  1. My first comic uses thicker lines and brighter colors
  2. My latest comic uses thinner lines and muted colors

Technically not the first one I made, but the first digital one I made

And the most recent one I made :)>

I had to use more page friendly ones for recent and past for the public forum. Due to mine being US rating censored for tapas.
I dont have the original drawings from the 90s digitalized. So went with the 2020 page. Episode 1 Page 2

Then one from 2 months ago. I release one page a month. Episode 5 page 31

For some reason I'm to worried to show you guys picture. I don't know if you can go to my links are not. But mines has more symmetry and balance. The lineart is straighter and page has an even flow of artwork all over rather than just it being on one side.

16 days later

One of my first pages...

One of my current ones  Progress was made^^
I restarted the whole story at one point.

Latest one, fresh from the oven^^
