It would be up to everyone else in the world. I'd leave the rights either with my partner or put them in the public domain, and if people wanted more content of my IP, they'd be the ones who would make it.

I make my work for other people to enjoy, not as some monument to myself. If I die and it's unfinished, there's no need to complete it unless people are all clamouring for closure, in which case, my partner would be able to access my notes and do whatever's best with them, perhaps release them online, or find an appropriate creator to commission.

The readers are the ones who decide if my work is meaningful to them and should be preserved and continued after I'm gone, not me. I wouldn't saddle my loved ones with the burden of trying to make people care about an unfinished work nobody was all that interested in just because I'm gone, so it would be their choice to make.

I would release the completed script I've written for my audience to read, but I would leave the rights to my partner on the very very very unlikely case that something comes of it when I'm gone

I would be OK with someone else continuing the story. There are comics and shows which have new writers and the original creator just supervises. For my series Sugar Land, I was thinking about doing that. I am not sure if I would ever add more to it but I would be curious how someone else would continue it.

If I pass away, the rights would go to my family. I don’t want to overdo it with my will, I remember having to watch The Art of the Steal (2009) and I just found Dr. Albert C. Barnes will obnoxious and unreasonable.

Since I am the artist of the projects, I highly doubt my partner would like to continue making all those stories with someone else. I would be glad if the world would see their ending, but in some dire situation that would be for their writer to decide.

This is a good question, and I often wonder whether the many comics or novels that I follow that seem to have been abandoned have been because of a tragedy involving the creator. This is something that all creators should have a plan for, along with what to do with various social media accounts.

My husband has already been told that if anything happens to me he should post the rest of my stories. They are completed already, but not fully published (I publish new parts as I've finished new art for the episodes). Because my stories are novels it would be easy to continue the publishing, even if it would have to be done with no images, if not for any other reason than to let my subscribers (all three of them!) finish the story and get closure. I should still add this to a will though...

Okay. If she so wished, my girlfriend could continue it. She knows how the story goes, how each character work, and how the world works. But she probably wouldn't want to, I would be shocked if she did decide to continue it.
I also have a queue of pages already completed, so if I dropped dead right now, then those pages would still get posted after my death no matter what.

I've literally posted links to read-only files of all my notes on all my works just in case I suddenly drop dead or smth, because I'm paranoid XD

Anyone can do whatever they want with them (including nothing ofc), but I doubt I'll care since I don't think I'll be conscious after my death But I feel better and less paranoid for having posted them and backed them up, secure in the knowledge that they won't be lost to the aether :]
