It's an inexpensive program that is easy to learn, yet just as powerful as Painter and Photoshop. And can import and export Photoshop files.

It's built for artists and the tools approximate the drawing and painting tools in real. You can mix paint and have realistic brushstrokes.

It also has the digital advantage of layers, selections, blending modes and symmetry tools.

There's a lot more, but the main thing is the tools give a natural drawing and painting results.

Here are a few things I created with ArtRage:

okay so its a cheaper version of corel painter. Does it ever go on sale?

It was on sale at San Diego Comic-Con for about $30.

Use the link above and heck the I have an upgrade discount and enter SDCC2015 in the discount code box.

If that doesn't work, it's still a bargain at $49 and change

I don't have Sai. And it has a greater variety of drawing tools than Manga Studio, I think and very customizable.

Oil Brush, watercolor, pencil, ink pen, palette knife, pastels, markers, stencils, paint roller, air brush, thinners, stickers, cloner and more.

You can wet or dry. Wet on wet, dry on wet and other combinations.

I tried it, but couldn't get it to work the way I want
