I avoid some camera angles, but I do try to challenge myself and use the camera angles the storytelling needs - even when it makes me draw low-angle shots of people turning their heads three-quarters to the side or something like that.
Extreme camera angles are a bit like jump-scares in horror movies; used sparingly, they're very effective. If you use them all the time, people start getting bored. They're a kind of visual emphasis, so use them only when the storytelling calls for it - but don't avoid them when it does.
