Soo for this thread, I was thinking it'd be cool to introduce your main characters along with a headshot of them so that people that are just scrolling down can maybe spot something they like! I'm sure once they like the art they'll be more likely to read about your characters ^^
So, it'd be like a short bio about your characters (Up to 2 as long as they're main characters) I say two cause otherwise the wall of text would be criminal in every post XD
You can then write either your story summary or a summary of your own as what your story consists of and the story link.
The bio is all about the characters but feel welcome to state the story's genres and themes (like some themes you might want to mention that are in your story) This thread is basically a catalogue of art styles (cause headshot) + main characters + storyline, so creators can showcase their stories beyond just the cover and their default story summary!
So, for this thread, please don't upload your story cover! Let your characters and summary of your storyline do the talking! Also, no giant images! Headshots like on my example are okay, just no one page hogs please XD let's be clean about this so it's not a drag for others!
Also, just want to point out novelists can pitch in as well ^^ If it's a comic, a headshot is needed but if it's a novel it's okay to not include them! (You can describe their appearance instead) (Only in this case! Though if yours is a novel but do have art for the characters you can include them ofc)
Note: If you don't have a headshot please write the appearance details where the headshot is placed!

I'll start to give an example of the format:
1. Brick:
Age: He grows up throughout the storyline but he is 5 at the beginning.
Sex: Male
Gender: Male (Cis) <- Including just incase others appreciate this
Sexuality: Asexual (Although Brick behaves according to this, itâs not a main subject. He probably doesnât even know he is an ace)
Nickname: None
Place of residence: Townsville
Powers/Weapon: Sound-Psychic. He uses a slingshot to avoid using his main weapon that is a megaphone
Personality: Impatient, hostile, alert, cynical and antisocial. Although Brick is overwhelmed by negative and aggressive behaviors, he possesses a true caring heart when it comes to his loved ones, weaker beings like children or even animals. Although he has nothing against animals, since he can listen to them talking (specially dogs), he can become annoyed by them easily (Not that this would interfere with him deciding to save any if the situation arises) He is stubborn in a lot of areas but mostly when it comes to his decision not to eat, since food makes him feel sick. (He mostly gets in funny fights with his siblings over them wanting to feed him anything or them struggling to brew/cook something he is willing to try)
About him: Brick is the most powerful from his brothers, as his sound powers are overkill, however, he has the lowest stamina because of malnutrition. His body is thin and frail, thus he can collapse if he overdoes it in battle. Since he hates using his sound powers, he mostly uses his slingshot to shoot marbles that have the excess sound he absorbs in them as to recycle and avoid using his abilities. He can reabsorb his own attacks if needed but they cause his ears to start bleeding, as he doesnât have sound immunity because of psychological reasons.
Likes: Reading, repairing or fixing things (specially machines), classical music
Loves: Quiet places, avoiding crowds, having his hair caressed, cake (although he likes the flavor, he canât really eat it without his stomach complaining)
Dislikes: Noise, loud sounds, listening to dogs anywhere and them talking to him (he doesnât want to engage)
Hates: White noise, sunny/hot days, being forced to eat
Psychological state: He mostly suffers from solitude, guilt and a nagging feeling that things can turn dangerous at any point. He is almost always irritated/stressed, as he absorbs the sound around him really easily. He has insomnia and suffers from hair loss.
Hope/Fears: He hopes one day he can stop feeling like something is missing, even though his siblings are right by him. He is scared of losing them, though, he is not emotionally intelligent enough to realize all thatâs described here.
Ambitions/Goals: Protect his siblings and live a peaceful life⊠âWhatever that isâ heâd say.
Character quote: âIf I could I would change everything! But why is there no way to change anything?!â
2.Brazen:
Age: He grows up throughout the storyline but he is a baby and 5 shortly after (at the beginning of the mirror arc)
Sex: Male
Gender: Male (Cis)
Sexuality: Currently confused though he shows interest in guys.
Nickname: Raze
Place of residence: Fractal Viletown (mirror world)
Powers/weapon: Virus-plant. He can make plant like weapons like a whip with thorns. He absorbs negativity in different ways (ex. emotions or decay like, revilatizes plants by absorbing it)
Personality: When he is not affected by too much negativity, he is carefree and energetic. He loves to exercise and likes being outside, he is quite friendly and sweet (the most easy going of his brothers), he is also the most positive when in a good mood. He is adventurous and canât keep still. When affected by negativity, he can turn quite callous and resorts to drinking as a way to numb his senses.
About him: He excels in defense and is also the strongest of the three (though he has to restrain his strength or he ends breaking stuff easily) he has the most stamina, though, if he over uses his âvirusâ abilities he can get hurt whereas his plant abilities, although good for defense, are a hindrance for attacking as theyâre quite destructive. (He doesnât want to raze the city ofc). His plant powers are more for protecting than attacking, making him a close combat type.
Likes: Cooking, baking, salty food, adorable things, heavy metal, alternative rock, screamo (for the screaming, not because he's emo), flowers, comedy series, etc.
Loves: His family, cookies, the cooking channel, beer, nature, working out, extreme sports, the feeling of adrenaline, destroying things (like going to the dump and destroying trash, he also likes to help demolish things), flowers, Brick being around.
Dislikes: Ice cream (with few exceptions), not being able to leave the house, scary movies (they bore him), the majority of fruits, being surprised, pop music, reggaeton, etc.
Hates: All-white spaces, overly sweet food, being called 'cute' and derivatives, being confused for a girl, living confused and in conflict with himself, his power to absorb negativity from the environment/things around him. Sticky things (like slugs).
Psychological state: He seems to be okay for the majority of time, though his thoughts and âwrongâ feelings make him want to desperately want to run away from them. He is mostly struggling with flashbacks about an âunknownâ past as well as memories that conflict his present ones. He has dissociative identity disorder which often triggers when the negativity he absorbs and carries peaks.
He also doesn't like women and has a hard time dealing with them. (He lives in a world dominated by women thus it's the equivalent of women who distrust guys/are scared of them) He has a girl friend (as in female friend lol) so he tries to give them the benefit of the doubt time to time.
Hope/Fears: He hopes he can get rid of his âwrongâ feelings towards someone close to him and reunite with someone precious to him. He is scared of intimacy and though he can be flirty at times, he hates being flirted and needs to be told beforehand if someone wants to hug him or so, as he is really jumpy and gets nervous even if its his brothers doing so. He is mostly scared of women, though he canât stand guys that flirt either. He is also deeply terrified of HIM.
Character quote: âThese memories are mine? But then... Does it mean I'm not who I think I am?â
Title: Flames of a Reverie
Genre: Psychological horror/thriller, fantasy, supernatural, drama
Themes: brother relationships, parallel selves, parallel universes, appears cute but turns dark, addressing PTSD, abuse, daily life, character perspectives, focus on feelings and emotions, also, characters are LGBT cause of asexuality, bisexuality and mentions of it but it is not the main subject in the story! Didnât tag it that so people donât think itâs queer baiting. (And cause itâs something only noticed after)
Summary: The tale of two groups of brothers, the first group living in the "original" world whereas the other group lives in the mirror world, thus being the parallel selves of the former. They represent the sides of the other group that lie hidden within them, it's basically them being an expression of the effects of the first group enduring hard to cope events.
Both sides are explained according to where the story is, the first chapters mostly deal with the original group and later, how their hardships are then expressed through the other group of brothers.
