I love too world build and creating a population that feel real and having impact on the world and the charter, and that got me thinking what you favour part of the comic making process? from the Idea to doing speech bubbles. Tell me, because I am interested to hear how come and what you do in that part of the process.

I really love rendering tbh. Seeing the lighting come together and seeing the final result of my work. (It’s also easy for me!) I don’t really like doing the line art much because that’s when I have to figure out where everything goes because I have bad sketches :joy:
Oh, I do love plotting and planning though.

Early planning stage is hella fun because I was very self-hyped & come up with ideas for the plots. I don't have to worry about the Hows.

For my monthly comicmaking cycle now, it's the multiple thumbnailing stages. It's tedious & time consuming but I like the results it gives.

Sometimes I need to make reference arts. Large references tire me even it's necessary. I really like the small reference making: like, the characters, the items.

Very occasionally, I enjoy doing the side extras. (short comics/ the 101s) Drawing postcard arts (merch) challenges me because they're mostly traditionally drawn but so rewarding when it's done.

Drawing thumbnails/initial sketches and storyboarding is my fav part. I tend to see my story unfold like a show/movie and attempt to capture the 'keyframe' moments for the boards/panels.

The tedious part is actually building up the characters (shapes, anatomy, proportions) and compositions (not just how characters/objects are arranged in a panel, but also how the panels are arranged on the page) but since I'm trying a more vertical format, I've somehow been having some difficulty/distaste for it, but I'll figure it out eventually, just a matter of patience and practice)

Coloring has always been a pain, but I have been experimenting with rendering and I'm eager to try some new things out in later comic eps (painterly backgrounds, maybe) but I'm not sure yet. Could be too much work for the moment. But I'll still be doing more experiments off to the side.

*lots of 'but's in there...gotta work on that XD

My favourite part is seeing readers' reactions :see_no_evil: I also like planning/thumbnailing because it get's me to the 'YEAH it's good, let's draw! ' mood, but it's even better when while planning I can predict reaction it gets later on. I love seeing that a joke I made in a series lands well. Or when my friends are sending me lots of reaction gifs or my series-related gifs after catching up with my story. Or when I post a wip and get reactions like 'NOOOO' or 'WHAT IS GOING ON THERE???'. I guess my favourite part of making a story is actually TELLING the story to the audience. I don't have a lot of active readers, but my few friends are really making up for that with their support haha

My favorite part is when I get to a part I’m looking forward to drawing and seeing everyone’s reaction.

And thumbnails. And when a page is done

Oh God, it would have to be Evangeline's character development. I won't give any spoilers, but I love the way she opens up and doesn't let her past hold her back.

I like coming up with script ideas and writing them out, it's always fun to think of new stories for my characters

I also enjoy the line art stage, just because it's nice to see the messy sketches come to life
