I was just curious if anyone else knew songs from the 70s. There are many. And next big question, don't you think Ringo Star is a genius drum player?
Give it your best shot. (hehe)
My favorite is Dark Star done by Crossby Steel & Nash

Title Question I'll stick to one choice: Led Zeppelin up until Presence

And Ringo earned his status as rock drumming god and shall be so forever.

Queen, absolutely no competition for me. I grew up listening to A Night at the Opera in my parents' car on long journeys. They were both incredibly skilled and inventive, while keeping a playfulness, and Freddy Mercury's voice and stage presence were both incredible.

Ringo... I don't know enough about drumming to say really, but I don't think he's a bad drummer like some people seem to say. He definitely seems to have been at least above-average. I dunno, to me he'll always be primarily "the narrator from Thomas the Tank Engine" in my head :sweat_02:

I´m mostly listening to music from 30s to early 60s but I know
a lot of music from every decade and I was born in the 70s.
The 70s had a lot of terrible pop music imo.

My favorite band from that era is the Clash

My favorite Beatle is George Harrison, I don´t consider any of the
band members a genius. Ringo Starr knew exactly what to play and
what not to play when he played for the Beatles and had the right
feeling for that kind of music, he was good at that but not a genius

For me personally I'm going with the Ramones. Their first 4 albums were amazing  Rocket to Russia is my favourite album of theirs. My favourite song by them is a tough one but I think it might be I Wanna Be Sedated. ^^

Yours is perfectly fine, I'm glad others listen to the oldies (forgive me).

I have, so many being born in the 80s. So 70s music was on the radio alot. Never got into the Beatles.
I guess because I like the genre- soft rock, rock or metal. But some older pop or rap is fine too. Queen, the BeeGees. Boney M (no its not adult, its a German-Caribbean group), Chicago and more.
My favourite is Chicago.
I grew up with my parents having the records play every saturday night, for family music and games night.

Blue Oyster Cult, easy. Everyone knows them for "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Burning for You", but they've got so many other amazing tracks. The entire "Fire of Unknown Origin" album is full of top tier songs to me and I'm also a sucker for "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll" from their debut album.

Sadly the Beatles always managed to slip past me, so I can't say much about Ringo. That said, I appreciate a lot of Roberta Flack's (another fantastic artist from the 70s) covers of Beatles songs.

Funkadelic-Parlament, Bootsy Collins, Parlet, Kool & the Gang, Rick James, Zapp & Rodger, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Queen (did NOT know they were 70's, sound way more ahead of their time), Bees Gees, Rolling Stones, Electric Light Orchestra, Fleetwood Mac, Kiss, AC/DC (ALL THEIR SONGS SOUND ALIKE BUT THEY'RE GREAT DANG-IT), Journey, Blondie, Moody Blues, Guns & Roses, Pink Floyd

Holy cow, I love the Blue Oyster cult. My all-time favorite by them is 'Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll.'

King's X is my favorite band and they formed in the 70s. Their height of popularity wasn't until the 80s though, maybe the 90s too.

I like the Beatles and Fleetwood Mac also
