Just looking for some inspiration. Here’s one of mine.
I loved Karneval’s covers for the color use. Just like the colored pages for Karneval.
Punpun has some really graphic and neat covers. Bonus that the colors desaturate along with the tone of the story and that sweet spine image as well.
Sui Ishida just slays me. The evolution of his skills in watercolor with each passing volume cover.. bruh
I can't post images right now, but the Nausicaa books! The manga that made me realize some manga could be for me (still a genre I generally don't like, but Nausicaa... )
Even thought they’re super basic I always loved the pandora hearts covers...I legit kept buying them even after I had no idea what was happening in the story because I liked them X’D
The colour themed fashion pinup covers of Tokyo Babylon by CLAMP with the christian and imperialist imagery are very striking.
XXXHolic hands down
Any cover from the Tegami Bachi manga. Hiroyuki Asada simply let me see digital art from such a different viewpoint.
And the Children of the Whales from Abi Umeda are just so gorgeous as well.
I LOVE the art on these manga covers! Good read too.
I love this cover so much
