Hi! Really odd post, but I just had a bout of nostalgia. When I was like, twelve/thirteen I used to post on a site called Figment. I think it's now called Inkitt but they seem to have basically totally erased all the old Figment content (thank god). I was just wondering if I'm the only person here who used to post on there.

If you did, hey!

Does the Wayback machine probably still have the old content, I wonder...

Actually, it's now called thi:

I posted on the site but I wouldn't say I'd find it nostalgic for me personally. It was one of the many sites I tested for several years to see if it'd stay afloat and if the work didn't outright die on there. Sadly, like pretty much every site I tested on, the user base was inactive/dead/absent - outside of people posting works to it, largely appearing to be poetry (but no fanfics) - it didn't look like anyone was reading and consuming the content. For weeks I witnessed as many new or updated works had under 100 "likes". :x

Nope for some reason.
I just checked my old url from my dA journal I haven't removed the figment link from:: http://figment.com/users/329959-Elle-Doki1

The link straight up re-directs and doesn't show any sign of the works or users that were on the Figment site.

I personally don't mind it going missing. It was one of the many sites that encouraged "leave me hearts!" because, like Tapas now, it prided showing stories based on showing not views to the readers but the number of likes. Exampled in the image below. (Every time I've seen a site use or adopt this system, it's led to users changing "read 4 read" to "like 4 like")

Haha you secretly hoped you would find some of your old stuff there, didn't you?

MAYBE!! No, but seriously I think I do want to see my old work because its been nearly 10 years and it'd be a cringy kind of nostalgia

I worked on figment between 2012 - 2013 and totally missed the emails they sent warning that they were deleting all existing content so I also lost much of it.
