Thank you so much for your review, but after a while, but I have to explain some stuff
That is not Episode 1 that's why the name is "Welcome to Alpha Edrox" is like reading a game tutorial and then complain about it when you could just skip it all along and you don't miss anything.
This episode was created because people assumed that they were humans and they were living on earth and they were asking a lot of questions about the world. As a response, I created this skippable episode. I don't know why people still believe that is Episode 1 when the title says "Welcome to Alpha Edrox" and the next episode has "Ep. 01: Recruit" as title.
Beyond that, I couldn't do much to fix the problem .
Well, it may look like that, but actually, they are just some setups, I don't like when stories use "flashbacks" as an excuse to retcon some events related to a character that wasn't there in the first place, so, instead, I'm setting up future events related to such characters that are not active participants to the actual events, Also to establish the relationship between the character and how connected they are to the actual plot, some of them are just witnesses.
I noticed too, and I'm glad he is not the stereotypical MC who has to drain the entire focus from the rest of the cast just because he was the first character to appear on the screen.
Actually, I'm in the same with the readers, the only difference is, that I know the lifespan of each character, but I don't actually know them as much as you assume, but, because I know their lifespan, I'm trying to give them their chance to be known before the ends arrives. Just to avoid the "Oh, this is my hope, dreams, and life and, ups! I died!" It is a problematic trope used in a large cast, characters that usually are in the background, suddenly has the focus just to die in the same episode at the end, I'm trying to avoid that.
Yeah, I hope it gets easier to follow once the setups are finished, after all that, everything becomes more lineal.
OH THAT'S THE FIRST TIME THAT I READ THAT! THANK YOU!
It's ok, I'll do my best to make it better as I'm keep going, and I don't feel that bad, after all, I read more popular Fantasy comics, and that was a mess of a plot, with all the time periods and paradoxes and everything going back and forward, it still got a lot of audiences! But, the only difference was the number of the cast members at the beginning.
