Im almost finished with my webcomic and I'm seriously thinking about getting it copyrighted . How do I go about doing that? Has anyone else gotten their webcomic or novel copyrighted?

It depends on which country you live in!
If you're in the U.S., it's pretty straightforward, you submit your application through the website here15 and pay the fee and then they'll get back to you in a couple of weeks to let you know if there are any issues. Then you receive your official certificate of registration in the mail with the official copyright after about another week.

You own the copyright as soon as you create something.

In the US, you own copyright to your creation when you create it. Getting it registered is not buying a copyright, it's more like getting an official certification that you created the content and when. That can help if someone plagiarizes or tries to steal your work later on.
