Well, if you want to give my comic a look, it's a light-hearted fantasy story called Outcast Kingdom.
It stars four main protagonists-- two are female, and two are male, though one of the male characters has no face and no voice. Also, none of them are technically "human", but whatever. Close enough.
I know that comics are, in general, a male dominated media (though less so now than in the past), so I wanted to make sure I had a fair number of quality female characters. Of the ones in Outcast Kingdom, one is strong and strong-willed-- a natural leader and a stalwart friend. The other, though small of stature and physically unimpressive, is intelligent, wise, kind, and charming. Also, she has magic.
(Not that the male characters are less interesting, likable, or capable, but they're not the topic of discussion here)

ALSO! There is a comic I really like called "Postcards in Braille" that stars a male and a female main character. It's smart, funny, surprisingly deep at times. (Also, it's super sweet and adorable and don't tell the other men I said that okay?)
