Guys, how do you draw your comics?

I think it does take time to master any device... I heard even a Cintiq!
I wish I could do it all traditional... Nothing more organic than a pencil!
But I got work to do and I need a portable device to draw when I have time on my breaks...

Storyboards on paper, thumbnail-sized, then everything after that is 100% digital, working with Manga Studio 5/Clip Studio Paint (same thing, basically) and an old Cintiq 21UX. I'd love to ink traditionally, but I work faster digitally, and it allows me to work in larger sizes (I only have an A4-sized scanner, and scanning things in bits and pieces is a chore and a half).

Mmm, first I do some thumbnailing, then I sketch it out! BEFORE I INK IN THE PEOPLE THOUGH, i make sure there's space for the word bubbles and stuff. It's so that you don't accidentally hide any of the important bits underneath the speech bubbles (and it saves energy. can you imagine inking something and then it turns out it's right underneath a speechbubble?? terrible).

I use Clip Studio Paint and a Wacom tablet. I haven't drawn traditionally in forever....

I draw using Photoshop CC and a Surface 3. I can draw on the train going to and from work this way, which lately has been the only time I've had... Man, I haven't drawn traditionally in forever.

It depends on what i'm looking for.

Actually i'm drawing my comic (QTRandom) on Paint Tool SAI, but i've made other comics with traditional media.
Both medias give me some unique and interesting details that i love to use depending on what i want for my history.

Also i use Photoshop, or, if it's done with traditional media, G pen, some brushes and ink.

Photoshop CS6 and Intuos4 M, hoping to upgrade to a Cintiq by the year's end, would be nice to work directly on the page.

Used to do comics traditionally for years, I fondly remember the graphite stains across the side of my hands and up my arm.

I draw my comics on Photoshop CS6! But I always sketch out small thumbnails before hand.

Clip studio paint and cintiq 13HD. I think Clip studio paint/ manga studio is the best to draw comics and cintiq is just awesome!

I draw all my pages on paper in pencil first, then I ink them and scan them into photoshop I digitally color them in black and white with water color brushes and use different effects! I have a tablet I use but I fin that drawing directly onto paper is easier than right on the screen, and my lines are more controlled!

I use Photoshop and a rubbish Wacom bamboo tablet! I take the script and roughly thumb the page layout, then as of recently, I just work digitally straight away. Here's my basic method:

1) Create the layout of the panels
2) Organise the panel folders
3) Do the rough sketches for each panel
4) Finalise and digitally ink on new layers
5) Add flat colours
6) Add a background so I can then pick out light sources
7) Apply shadow and lighting to characters
8) Add bubbles and text and done!

Sometimes I start with a traditional sketch but mostly I just start digital. I make the panels first, then the sketch, lineart, the speech bubbles and typesetting and lastly the coloring. Then it's done!

i draw my comic traditionally, with gesture drawings/placement, drawing details, inking and then scan it to the computer and correct it in Photoshop along with words.

I use a 19 inch yiynova mspu+ and clip studio. I can't recommend either of these highly enough. The tablet does take some patience setting up however. But once you get over that hurdle it's smooth sailing.

I use an old tablet genius mouse pen 8x6 and SAI to draw everything and colouring, for effects CLIP (because I don't know how to use it well...) And also for dialogues.

I use a small wacom intous tablet and the program is SAI for everything as I don't have time to switch back and forth from photoshop, I post long webtoon-y episodes per week so I basically toke out everything that bored me in comic making, which mainly included the lineart as well as adding text in photoshop (I do the text by hand)

I first hand draw my comic, then I take it into photoshop trace it, color and shade it with my wacom bamboo tablet.

I draw and color directly into Photoshop Elements 9 using a Wacom Intuos 3. PS Elements is limiting though and I'm in the market for a replacement.
