The person who created the GlobalComix site is here and open for questions, so maybe he can help.
Edit : Oh wait, did you get this through your Globalcomix account ?

yes it was emailed to my globalcomix account email I think(but it didn’t show up in my actual account inbox)

I'm looking at the site. If it's a scam, they put a lot of work in it.
I'd say have a talk with them, and if they don't ask you for money, at least think about it.

I've been taught that no company will "Seek you out!" to offer you a contract for anything legit so I'm highly suspect of anything that looks akin to that.

the first lesson that i've been tought when it comes to suspicious emails is to double check the email it's been sent from. most companies will send an email most commonly from a (companyname).com/.org kind of email or .gov if it's a gov't agency. if it's something like (companyname) bunch of numbers (at) gmail.com then it's possible that it's a scam

most email providers usually send sus stuff to spam but if it's in your main inbox then double check that.

it's actually not that hard to replicate professional format emails from companies so long as you've got the usual wording down and the right images so that's why people are often encouraged to double check the sender

The fact that it says "Hi!" but not your name is, for me, a sign that it's spam. If they know you & really read your stuff & liked it, how frickin' hard would it be have typed your name into their template? Almost certainly, they sent that same thing to a big mailing list.

I haven't received this one but I have received others like it. Dang spam. :sob:

Oh hey I know that site! I don't use it much, but I'm on it. GlobalComix is pretty good for what it is.

@gh0stcr33p that looks like a project post reply.

Do you have an account on GC? If not, did someone perhaps create one using your credentials?

Either way, please feel free to message "Christopher" on GlobalComix and I will look into it for you directly! I'm sorry that you're experiencing some issues, I'd love to get to the bottom of it and get it resolved!

I think it is weird that they didn't use your name, or username. It seems generic. Additionally, if they want to publish it make sure you get a contract, and read that thing thoroughly. But I think its too generic. "Hi [no name]" "The creator and editor" 'we likes your comic' but doesn't say why or the title. Idk how many comics you have, but even if you have one, they should still use the title.

Oof. Now I'll admit I've never heard of this site so it may very well not be spam. But it's pretty known and common that here on Tapas, we all will suddenly receive DMs or emails of people claiming to love our stories and want to help us publish them. (And the messages will be identical but with our names/story titles inserted.) Sadly, it does turn out to be spam most of the time. Like I said though, I have never heard of this site. I just don't know on this one haha. Hopefully it's not spam!
