Ever since high school people called me "Gis" (spanish for chalk, spanish is my first language), and once I had a programming project at university, we had to make a blog in english, and I thought, "what if I come up with a pseudonym just for the lulz?", and so I thought of The Talking Chalk (initially "the talking chalk passing by" but damn is that name long!).

And I draw stuff as the Talking Chalk, so it fits well...

Still thinking of a proper avatar that isn't just a simple chalk with a face though.

Cherry is close to my given name. My given surname is a word found in natural, so Stark was a natural fit. Plus Tony Stark is one of my favorite characters.

I'm dyslexic and before the invention of spellcheck my spelling was atrocious. We're talking looking downright illiterate at times. I had several words that I always misspelled. Foto, traphic, carriot, and several others. When it came time to pick my name I decided to take one of those words I couldn't spell without the aid of spellcheck as a nod to my past because spellcheck has since trained my brain how to get them right 99% of the time though I still catch myself doing it wrong the other 1% and have to fix it. Thus Prisim was born.

The internet used to have everything but the kitchen sink.

Then I showed up.

You know that toucan pokemon from Sun and Moon, Toucannon? It was one of my favorite pokemon when the games were coming out and there's something funny to me that its beak can sort of explode whenever it gets angry. So I just put them together and boom, ExplodingToucans. Then I just shortened down to explode and that's what I've been using ever since.

My name here is "agunceto" which translates to "lamb" and it's a reference to my Zodiac sign - Aries, as well as the fact that my family used to give me plushy sheeps as presents.
"Springmaid",in the Tapas webside, comes from the fact that I am born in the spring(March) while "maid" comes from my name being that of the Roman goddes Diana.

If I may, "A" came from a comic book idea about the everyday life of an amateur author, who publishes his work on the web. He was also to be the mascot of an amateur webzine but which did not hold up.

And why the letter A? Because when I was looking for a name for my character, I was faced with the problem of wanting to make this character the representative of ... almost, all types of amateur content creators. And this whatever the sex. Suddenly, I thought of having two characters, instead of one. A man and a woman, who would form a duo of authors.

But what could their pen name be? I had in the idea of using the X and Y chromosomes, but it would be a little too specific, and especially not original at all.

And in the end, I don't remember why, but I thought about the letters of the alphabet, and the expression: "from A to Z". This made me think of the word "author" which in my language begins with the letters "A", whether it is written in the feminine or the masculine. So I ended up adopting the nickname, of A. The signed in front is just a reference to the signature at the end of a letter or at the beginning of an article, etc. My nickname itself is A.

P.S. : Later ... well, not long ago, I discovered that my nickname was even brighter and more meaningful than I thought. Because not only does the word "author" begin with the letter "A", but the words: Amateur and Artist, too.

More than anything it's a play on words with "wandering albatross" (which are amazing birds), but also a reference to me being a bit of a dork

My name is Margarita and Mag is a short form. and Margarita Navarra (valoit), queen of France and Navarra is my historical idol for no reason ))) also it feels like somethig gaelic and also has ma-n-owar vibes lol

When I was looking to change my old username to a new one I wanted something that sounded vaguely like a real name while also not being too much like a real name, to kind of hit that middle ground of professional. I also wanted a name that represented both art and writing. Eventually I stumbled on Artem Ficta, meaning the Art of Fiction in Latin.

My username "Alexandritea" is based on a character which is present in my most recent comic. She is a robot with a human soul, created by a mad scientist long, long ago.
Her soul rests inside an Alexandrite crystal, which was once given to her. She derived her name from there, but decided to give it a little twist at the end to "feminize" it and make it into more of a name in a sense.

(For certain pages where they require a last name, I decided upon "Winter". I was thinking about a relatively common last name that I had some kind of connection to. I am born in winter, and I absolutely detest it. So Winter it is  ).

My actual name is Sarah, so there's that lol But no for McSquish, in college my last name seemed to stump literally every teacher. I gave up and just put Mc on everything, and later a joke about something or other being squishy lead to McSquish. I now have people who genuinely think that's my last name.

My birthday is on the 27th so I just adopted it as my "lucky" number. I have it tattooed on my shoulder as well. I just thought spelling it as "twennysebben" was funny, and since it usually isn't already taken on websites (unlike "XXVII" or similar) I made my online moniker.

I somehow came up with the name Rhonder to be the jerky anti-hero rival in my first original comic that I wrote back in middle school. How I came to use it as my prevalent online screen name though was due to the protagonist Raguna's name being taken in an online videogame that I started playing in... 2008 or 09? I was scratching my head for what to use instead and decided that Rhonder sounded cool and might be available, and it was, so I took it.

Up until this point though, I mostly just used different random names on every site. I was HyperLugia on gamefaqs, neji-san021 on deviant art, raguna_takichiro on gaia online, etc. I'm not sure why after playing this game that I decided that I wanted to start using the same name places but I did, so after that I just started using Rhonder for almost everything beccause more often than not it was available so it worked out.

It's short enough, easy to pronounce, and as an added bonus it's almost an anagram of my real name too, although missing several letters lol

My main is "veraca", favorite letters of mine boiled down basically. I also like how it looks in cursive / it's all flat and on one line with nothing going above or below like a " i y g j k l" and such letters.
My second "nostalgicroxas" is just cause I'm nostalgic, and I like the character Roxas from Kingdom Hearts best
And the last main ish one I use is "hito_ritabi", with various symbols in it like a dot or 0 to replace the _ mark. Just simply is one of my personal favorite Original Characters. And he's named after the translated phrase "to travel alone", which I totally feel like all of my creative endeavours are done alone by me.

Overtime I'm more partial to nostalgicroxas over the others but signature wise out of habit I keep signing things as either veraca or hitoritabi.

I wrote a short lived, unreleased comic in middle school called Butterfly Rose. It was a magical girl comic and the person who gave the girls their powers was named Queen Mariposa. Some websites I go by that name, on others I use Butterfly Empress, or I'll use Mariposa for short.
