How Did You Discover Tapastic Comics Website?

I did a butt ton of research before I started posting Hacheeachkee. And Tapastic was one of the options that popped up on google for places people post comics. Honestly I thought I wouldn't make as much success as I did here then I thought I would elsewhere since my comic doesn't fit the style format of Tapastic's "gag-a-day, light-hearted" theme (Not that there's anything wrong with that :P).

I found out last August though my friend who's doing Ethereal Comic. I was already working on my own superhero comic (Jonny Comic) for Tumblr and figured I upload here too to get some extra views (though I had to shrink the pages way down for this site)

I started reading Strays, not too long after I started looking into webcomics, on its native site. Upon exploring the other projects of the creators, there was this cute picture of a cat that was oddly compelling to click, it linked to The Gamercat website. This eventually led to Tapastic, which I found to be a nice place to find new comics. In need to keep track of all of it, I made an account. The rest is history. (Quite a few people have used that line lol)

Well originally I want to make this kind of a poll/research thing but I guess many people aren't really interested to share their story. @felipechoque told me about it :). I was super into Webtoons and reading comics in vertical format on your mobile, so I fell in love at first sight.

Way back when Tapastic was young (and they didn't have forums or comments or the ability to schedule new pages) I saw a post on LinkedIn from them looking for creators. Chang Kim (the CEO) emailed me back and invited Sunday-Superheroes to move over to Tapastic under their new PPP. I've been publishing on Tapastic as my main platform for about 19 months since then.

And if I'm not mistaken, I think it was a GamerCat comic on facebook that lead me here.

More like @CyndiFoster I searched for a place to post my comic, found that pretty much all hosting sites were ugly old HTML platforms and that Tapastic was the only one that was:

• pretty
• user friendly
• had social networks sharing options
• offered to connect with Facebook/Twitter accounts
• gave a real place to comics instead of some puzzling micmac of grossly stacked thumbnails
• had Like button on pages

It was obviously the place to be. Plus the community seemed awesome. Now I can say the community IS awesome^^

Also, just can't beat the infinite canvas Tapastic has. That format makes it so much easier to read through comics without flipping through website pages.

my brother introduced me to tapastic ^.^
as soon as i made an account i knew i wanted to post things on there~
my bro found tapastic because of gamercat and eventually showed the website to me insisting i would love it. and my brother was pretty much my only subscriber for a while ;w;
but now ive managed to get more subscribers than i thought i would have at this point~

Funny enough I recall having seen an internship opportunity flyer at my art school in San Francisco years back. Unfortunately I was swamped with too many classes to even consider applying to such a commitment, but I kept Tapastic tucked away in my noggin. And then recently I recalled the name, searched it, and stumbled here. Funny enough their olive character looked exactly as I remembered it years ago. :B

Last month my brother and I were looking for places to publish our comic, Outcasts of Jupiter, he remembered coming across Tapastic a while back and we thought "why not", didn't realize at the time it was also such an awesome community of creators and readers. Really happy we found this place!

We were recruited via email. We didn't join for several months because we were under contract somewhere else. We have spread the word all over. When we do comic panels we make sure to mention Tapastic as a great place to share your comic!
