How did you feel when you completed your first chapter?

Considering that all my chapters are to be 50 - 60 pages, I felt quite accomplished to have finally finished one of them.

But now since I have a dozen more to get through... that feeling was short lived.

I can't imagine how I would feel I did the whole thing at once. Probably wouldn't release it because I would keep redrawing pages. I hope you are enjoying the weekly schedule, it can be a challenge keeping up. Wish you much success.

Thanks! To be honest I wish I had taken the opportunity to do a lot more pages of my current chapter in advance. The nice thing about having all of chapter 1 complete before posting it online was that it allowed for a steady update schedule for a whole 34 weeks.

whelp after finishing a 200 page comic and a 500 page comic (probably will take eons to post on here) it does nothing for me . It's finishing the comic which is a real treat.

It has been years since I finished my first chapter, so I can't really remember... honestly I think I was more concerned with starting the next one instead of caring about the first one anymore.

Finished the first chapter last week. It didn't really sink in until a few days ago. Been working on page layouts/story since Oct 2014... so it's really weird to not have something to come home to after work.

I'm enjoying this break before I start the next chapter... so much so, I am taking a vacation next week! Huzzah!

Relieved. Thought I was NEVER going to finish it, but the sudden influx of new followers I had at the time helped give me the motivation I needed to finish what I had started.

That's a lot if pages! I like to break things down in smaller milestones otherwise the work seems so insurmountable. Wish you luck getting to the end.

It was nice! ... until I burned through my buffer ;o;

Most of all, I think it's good to get at least 10-15 pages finished before you start posting so you can guarantee a decent chunk of your comic will get out there. Nothing more frustrating as a reader than seeing the creator bail on their comic after just a couple pages.

I, myself just finished chapter 2 of my comic. And what I found the most pleasing was not only my own enjoyment in doing something I find fun and fulfilling; it was that here in Tapastic I get to share that enjoyment. Seeing the comments of the people that are expecting the next chapter only added to the fun of doing something I already loved doing.

This weekend I'm already starting chapter 3. Since I've been updating 5 pages every weekend, I want to keep up with that pace!

I'm nearing the end of Chapter One of RetroBlade. I'm getting...increasingly excited the closer I get (just a few pages left) and also very anxious, because I still have a ton of thumb-nailing to do for Chapter Two. I don't want to go on hiatus, but I think it will be inevitable, just so I can have some peace of mind and also a tiny bit of buffer for emergencies (and family coming to stay, lol).
I do have a 23 page Prologue which I completed last year, before starting Chapter One, and I think that qualifies as my first 'Chapter'. It was amazing to finish that, especially since the nature of my story (time travel) makes beginnings the hardest thing ever to get right. I'm really proud of how I managed to pull it off and include everything I wanted to. I haven't had it printed (yet, it is the right length for a floppy I guess), but it's available as a pdf download on Gumroad, and it's going to be part of the first print book (along with Chapter One) which I'll be releasing this year ^_^

I just finished drawing and queueing up the last pages for the first chapter of my comic Agapetos! It goes up next monday and it definitely feels pretty incredible but also very wearying! Doing my first chapter was definitely very experimental and finding out what worked for me, so there are a lot of things I'm not exactly satisfied, but I've determined to move forth and put everything I learned into making the best Chapter 2 I can!! :0 Of course I am taking a short hiatus now due to school but i am actively planning with a much clearer idea of what I want to accomplish than when I started

I was SO PROUD of myself. I wanted to show everybody. I felt like a proud mom with a newborn child. I think I read it like 8 times from beginning to end, just because I was so pleased to have finished that first bit. And TBH I pretty much feel the same way every time I finish a chapter (I SOOOO can not WAIT to finish the first chapter in my new comic). XD
