I've seen creators who said they get new audiences from twitter,
and also readers discovering new comic to read from twitter.

My questions is, how??
What are the hashtags that people who are looking to find new comics are keeping an eye out for??

yes there are. #comicbookhour and #webcomicchat names (webcomicchat also runs #webcomicwednesday) the first two are weekly hashtag events where creators promote their stuff and talk abt a chosen topic, responding to questions, but people also promote their stuff in the tag throughout the week. webcomicwednesday is to promote your own comic, and a comic you really like, on (gasp) wednesday.

Oh I see.... I followed the feed from comicbookhour and webcomicchat, but I didn't think of looking thru the hashtag on its own cos I'm still new on twitter

You can also look in the #indiecomics #makecomics #webcomics tags, as well as follow creators who will often retweet webcomics they like. As well as accounts like ArtofWebcomics and WebComicNetwork.

There is also a webcomic super fan mkinyon who has made a giant list of actively tweeting webcomic artists that you might want to follow, and get recommendations from there.

This is pretty cool, I found a few artist that has interesting work from those hashtags
