Hey guys, sorry if it seems I've been flooding the forum with random questions and just meandering about on DRGN, but this is one question that has been kind of bugging me as a start to work on DRGN properly. How do I get over perfectionism and the image that this needs to be my magnum opus?
So, I recently started work on DRGN in some tangible form after working on it on and off in various forms since 2011. Since that time, I've built it up in my head that this is some great work and needs to be a masterpiece that everyone will praise as a genre definer like CS Lewis or BIONICLE or something like that. I know that's not a healthy mindset to have, especially when just looking at your pages that already look good, but not excellent causes to have a mild panic attack and you keep seeing other cool stuff and wishing you did that instead.
So, does anyone have ideas on how to get out of this "Magnum Opus" and "Needs to be great because you worked on it so long" mindset? Thanks for the help you've all given me over the past few years, you're all the best!
