How do you give title for your comic?

I've always been terrible at coming up with titles XD so I usually just base it around the main/biggest arc in the story. Seeing as Destiny Awaits is about escaping ones destiny, and Make A Wish is(when simplified) about making a wish!

A lot of the books in Time Gate are named after species and races found in the story.

This includes Time Gate: Reaper, Generation of the Fairies, Fall of the Fairies, and Rise of the Demons (there are a lot more books in Time Gate, but they're not named after species/races; there are two that are called Cataclysm and Apocalypse, and two that are called The Child Chapters and the Adult Chapters, unoriginal, I know xD)

Truth be told, the title for my comic came after coming up with the story. Seeing that the story took place between 2 characters from different empires that represented the sun and the moon, so I created SolLuna. Then, I came up with SolLuna Chronicles when the story began to take on its steampunk elements. Then eventually, the title became The Chronicles of SolLuna.

I am pretty much the worst at making titles, they never as "right" as I want. In the end, what worked for me with my comic was just focusing on the one integral thing to my story. It ended up working out and so "Glamour"was born. Also, sometimes you just need to think of title and let it sit for a while, at the time it might not feel EXACTLY right, but could grow on you with time.

yeah, Gintama is the only Anime that have weird title for each episode, but I like it because it sound like a proverbs.

I ALWAYS come up with the title after a story becomes apparent. never beforehand. Most of the time my titles are based off of a conversation that 2 of my characters have but each alludes to an over-arching aspect of the story.

like, Hacheeachkee is a word in one of my character's language that she translates to my other character which encompasses the overall happening of the comic: traveling/hitchhiking/adventuring along with a group.

and Death Prince was based off of a side conversation that my 2 main characters had discussing what the possible origins of Sage's past was and the idea that he's died more than once.

Another story I have is called Dakreno, which is simply the location in which the story takes place.

Well my comic's title Sandbox Drama originates from the strip version of the comic, I played with the characters for a while as strip comic so I got to know them all the while a plot was boiling my head for them. The meaning of the title is everything.

My own definition for sandbox drama is meaningless drama or drama that has so long perspective it just seems silly to the observer. Which would cover all drama, because there's alway someone who is so distant from the events that doesn't feel a thing about it.

But there is much more meaning to the title in the actual comic, and I've come to notice that it's some sort of a revelation to the readers, in one point or another

Kamikaze is a...well, the title hasn't got us in too much trouble yet but I'm waiting for someone to lose their cool with us at some point. We didn't choose the name lightly though. The name originates from its original meaning, which was based on folklore from Japan. Basically the Huns tried to invade twice and each time Mother Nature was like, "Get outta here with that mess!" A huge storm came through and screwed up the Huns both times, and so the Japanese called these events Kamikaze or 'divine wind'. Legend has it that whenever Japan is in serious trouble a divine wind will blow away their enemies.

Of course that didn't really work so well during WWII when the Kamikaze pilots came around. These guys gave up their lives to protect their homeland, and while their alliances were frankly skewed on the morality scale (lets be frank everyone was doing stupid crap during WWII), it's still a brave thing to give up your life to protect others.

So we chose Kamikaze knowing that our lead, Markesha moves like the wind. Her presence brews a metaphorical storm, and her missions tend to be a bit suicidal in nature. She's never guaranteed to come out alive, and the actions she takes are always a flip of the coin on the scale of benevolent or malevolent. Her story isn't one of black or white, but shades of grey that make up the perfect storm where change, real change, can take root and grow.
