How long did it take you to get to 500 subscribers on Tap and / or Webtoons?

Whose World has been on this thing where it gains one or two subscribers a week, then the next week it loses the same. I really wish I'd be able to get more subscribers consistently--even though it might because I only update once a week and people are expecting more. Who knows?

I've been updating on Webtoons twice a week for a while (after forgetting about it for a few months. Whoops!), and at this rate, I'm pretty sure I'll get to 500 by the end of summer. So there's that.

I think there's just different audiences in most places, like most have said.

I started posting my comic, Four Corners in July 2014, and from looking at my dashboard I ended up hitting the 500 mark in December 2016, so just a little over two years. I've recently started posting on webtoons for about a year, and it's at 300 right now, which is gaining a little quicker than it was on tapastic. It's been a bit of a climb, but it's been nice for me to realize that whether in small or big numbers, people out there can enjoy the stuff you put out there.

It took me a bout a two and a half months roughly? Closer to two months actually. Which is insane, considering, I had my comic up on Smackjeeves for way longer than that, and I had less than a hundred fans. It was crazy.

Wow! These are some incredibly short time frames for so many subs, congrats to you all! I've been posting Serenade Song for almost two years on tap, and only have 70 subs. Over on webtoons, which i started publishing on in February, I'm at 191 with a steady increase every update.

Yeah it's amazing how fast it goes for some and how slow for others.
We've been posting our comic since January and we're at a 60 subs and like 7.1k PV's.
It's different from page to page, we have a ton of PV's on smackjeeves but only 25 fans or so.
On Webtoons it's 1.7 PV's but 54 subscribers.

Just gotta keep working on it I guess

hmm in tapas it took my say kimcchi! about 2 months to have 500+ subs and that wouldn't have happened if it werent for daily snack. they said my comic got featured in daily snack that day and boom from 100 subs it leveled up to 400+ but my other comics are not so lucky, still have 70+ subs and it's been like 9 months since i started and it's in semi-hiatus mode now....but anyhoo i'm very grateful for all my comics and thankful to all those who subscribed to me they're all very kind and lovely and also to those who promotes my comic as for webtoons, i haven't tried it but i will in the future. I think besides the quality of your comic it just needs lots of patience and a very strong stroke of luck to have a larger number of subscribers which makes it differ from everyone. i think the time of your upload also affect the chances of getting more readers to notice your work, since we have different timelines.

I started posting my webcomic: Star Missions at the end of January 2019. So far, I only have 11 subscribers (that has not changed in a few weeks) for my main story. "I hate snakes" and "Project Equipt" have even less and not moving up...
I also started at Webtoon, and have 35 over there. I am actually surprised that readership is not more, but maybe it has to do more with access? Are some comics available in more countries than others? Are some less popular or low numbered webcomics being restricted somehow?

For me it will probably take longer because i can't have a schedule for my books. i only write when i feel like it. Been doing homework way too much and watching anime.

I don’t have 500 subs, but I can throw my stats out there in case it helps at all:

I’ve been here since Halloween with my novel and I have 76 subscribers now. I’ve got around 65 chapters (I probably made the mistake of posting too much too soon, since I was new to Tapas. I now try to post weekly).

I posted one of my comics on December 13th and have 103 subs. Though, I’m rather slow at updating my comic since I’m new to webcomics/my IPad (it only has four chapters so far).

I’ve got 112 on my other comic posted at the end of November, but I haven’t had time to update this one much. I’m also waiting for my art to develop to dive back in since it’s a story that means a lot to me! (Three chapters and a prologue teaser).

Started last 2013, I kinda wasn't active, so I had at least 10 subs?

I just got 100+ subs last uhm... last 2017 when I became more active...

and this year was the additional boost of 300+ subs which I was shocked and thankful for. :'''D

After 4 months I can't even get views on Webtoon. One time I ll have to try to find what's going on. I don't think my thumbnail is that bad that no one ever clicks. I just don't get Webtoon at all.

It's a selection process, entirely staff dependent.
